15.01.2022 Sister and brother Suzette & Toby graduated from Goodog Puppy Preschool this week. Their mum and friend Katy left us a review. Another Goodog happy human! "We loved our classes with Goodog Puppy Preschool and our babies learnt a lot. We also got some great training too! The classes were fun, interactive and informative and we’re so proud of our puppies and all the tricks they can now do.... I’d highly recommend these classes to anyone with a new puppy. Katy, Suzette & Toby: Puppy Preschool Graduates Nov 2020 "

15.01.2022 Love GeekWeek! And I love learning. Positive gundog training. It should not be that difficult but I cannot find any around Sydney. If you know of a positive gundog trainer please let me know.

14.01.2022 Luring is a great way to train!

12.01.2022 I will be on the ABC nightlife show with Sarah Macdonald talking about teenage dogs coming Tuesday 1 December at 9.30 pm. Sarah has written a book about human teenagers, that should be a lot of fun. For the dog teenage version go to our website. https://www.abc.net.au/radio/people/sarah-macdonald/8137866

08.01.2022 Do you know what is the most important thing to teach your dog? The things they need to know to join you; wherever you chose to go and whatever you chose to do! Where does your dog go with you? Show us!

06.01.2022 Every so often I am just over the dog training industry. Hurting dogs in the name of training is plain wrong. I am over the euphemism 'every tool can be misused’ and I am over liars! If you put a shock or a prong collar on your dog you have the INTENTION to hurt your dog, no if and buts. If you put a harness on your dog you try everything NOT to hurt your dog. This is a completely different approach to training. While it is your choice how you train and which trainer you en...gage just stop glossing over the facts that some methods cause pain, fear and intimidation. Let's call things what they are. And for the ones who pretend to be positive trainers and then recommend shock or prong collars well, you are just liars. See more

06.01.2022 We here on the Norther Beaches can just hope and wish that our council will eventually see the light.

05.01.2022 GeekWeek Dr Robert Hewing on individual personality and their training style. He is an ex police handler who has changed to positive training. I love his take on emotional contagion and that dogs are human too.

05.01.2022 I am always humbled when clients travel all the way from Bondi to train with us. Thank you! #oneononetraining #oneonone #forcefreedogtraining #forcefree #youngdog #rescuedog #cattledogcross #bordercolliecross #thankyou #humbled #stroppyteenager #teenagedogs #learning

03.01.2022 You know what? I am getting a bit bored by 'balanced' trainers having a go at positive trainers making all these untrue statements about what we do. For the record: Ignoring unwanted behaviour is not something qualified positive trainers do recommend! We all know that this will not work. But instead of yelling no at the dog which really does not give much information on what we actually want them to do, we will first manage the problematic context, then teach them what we ...want them to do, practice, and then go back to the problematic situation. And guess what at least 50 % of dogs think their name is "NO" so by yelling no at them you might by mistake reinforce the wrong behaviour. There is also something called counter-conditioning and desensitisation and we use it a lot. See more

03.01.2022 And with that have a great evening!

02.01.2022 Teaching puppies the social skills they need to interact with other puppies is one of my favourite things in puppy class. Well these two did not need much help! Enjoy. If you want your puppy to learn how to play and a lot of other things check our website www.goodog.com.au/events for upcoming classes.
