Thank you for sharing Natural Wonders Diluting essential oils safely Essential oils are a 100% natural, non-toxic fragrance and have renowned therapeutic benefits. There are many ways to use essential oils other than vapourising in an essential oil burner or ultrasonic diffuser (although this is a wonderful way to use them!). You can develop your own sprays or oils to use for different purposes. For example, many of our cus...tomers dilute our Good Riddance Essential Oil Blend in a spray bottle with water to spray around door frames and window frames to prevent mosquitos from entering the house, or to spray on clothes while travelling in a mosquito prone area, or to spray on their pets to prevent fleas. One of our customers also created her own spray to use on the children's hair as prevention against head lice. It is also possible to dilute essential oils with a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil or Jojoba Oil to create your own personalised massage oil. There are just a few simple things to keep in mind when diluting essential oils: For body: the safe dilution of essential oils to water or oil is 2.5% - 5% (approx 50 drops of essential oils to 100ml water/oil) For face: the safe dilution of essential oils is 0.5% (approx 10 drop of essential oils to 100ml water/oil).
