22.01.2022 Students from 7B held their St. Vincent de Paul and Movember Car Wash yesterday. These students demonstrated great enthusiasm and commitment giving up time before school, lunch times and sport time to wash over 35 cars. Students demonstrated their servant leadership following in the example of Jesus. Servant leaders place themselves at the service of the people, the mission and the vision. The students raised over $350 and these funds will certainly help many people who are in need over the festive period . Good Sam’s is very proud of your efforts and commitment to leading like Jesus. Well done!

13.01.2022 The College has received the good news that a new bus route will commence next term for our students. The Bus route from Mons, via Buderim, Alexandra Headland and Kuluin, will provide families with more convenience and opportunities to use public transport. The commencement of this route will also mean some changes to the current bus route, servicing students north to Coolum. In short, this service will no longer cross the bridge, but continue along David Low Way. The full ro...ute details will be published soon by Translink and Buslink and as soon as we receive further information regarding the new routes, including the timetable and stops, we will pass these onto our community. Details of the announcement can be found at the following link: https://viewnews.com.au/new-school-bus-services-for-new-co/ The new route servicing areas including Eumundi, Yandina and North Arm was not approved to start next term, but we are hopeful that it will commence for the start of the 2021 school year. More information regarding this will be sent to families shortly. Our thanks to Buslink for their work in securing this new route and their support of our College families.

13.01.2022 Dear members of the Good Samaritan Catholic College community, On Sunday, we dedicate the day to honouring our mothers and the other important women in our lives. Mother’s Day is a time when we recognise the real impact mothers play in family life and throughout the life of any person. She is...Continue reading

08.01.2022 On the last day of this Term we would usually be celebrating Grandparents Day, a tradition we started last year. Although we are facing current Covid restrictions, we would still like to mark this day next Friday 18 September with a Grandparents Garden. Students are invited to create an artwork, we ask only one per family, that will be placed in our Grandparents Garden near the admin building. Classes will come over during the day to share stories about their grandparents a...nd offer a prayer. A template will be sent home this week with your child. Please return by next Tuesday 15 September. We look forward to a time when we can again welcome Grandparents into our community to celebrate their significance in the lives of our students.

07.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon we received the new route maps and timetable for the new and revised bus services that will commence on the first day of next term, Tuesday October 6. Please ensure that you check the stops and times that are most suitable for your child. The timetables have been emailed to all families and are also available on the Parent Portal. There are a number of changes to the existing route, with the new bus service picking up all of the stops on the south of the M...aroochy river. The main changes and some important information is below: The service number for the existing route starting and finishing at Coolum is unchanged (). The new service starting and finishing at Mons is called Run . Both buses will stop at ALL SUNBUS SIGNED BUS STOPS and at other designated bus zones (such as on Ocean Drive, Twin Waters). Students should watch carefully for the bus and hail the driver as it approaches, especially on the new route. Students should arrive before the advertised time on the timetable so that they do not miss the service. The main changes for the existing route 5732 are that the bus will now travel off David Low Way into Marcoola for additional safety (see map for street names) and will no longer cross the bridge but rather run express from the Motor Way to Bli Bli Marketplace. The new service will start at Mons and travel through Buderim, Alex and Kuluin via the route detailed and then travel along Bradman Avenue to the College following the same route as the existing service. Students need a Bus Pass or Go Card to travel on the bus services. Bus passes are obtained directly through Bus Link/CDC while Go Cards are available at all the usual outlets where these are purchased. All queries regarding the bus services should be directed to Bus Link/CDC. We are very grateful for the work done by Bus Link to establish this new route for our College.
