20.01.2022 Here at the Good Samaritan Foundation, we have been thinking about how we can bring some joy our friends in Bacolod, the Philippines, who have been hard hit by the COVID crisis. After a bleak year, the children are really hoping that there's going to be something to look forward to at Christmas. So we're inviting everybody to join our Share the Joy, Give A Toy appeal. It just takes a small gift of $30 to provide a food pack and gifts for a family. 16.01.2022 The Good Sams in Bacolod have launched an emergency feeding program for people who have been hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis. Those who live on the streets or in the squatter settlements have been severely affected by lock- down restrictions which prevent them from working and moving around the city. Thanks to the Sisters and their supporters, hot meals and food packs are being delivered to those in most urgent need. 03.01.2022 GSI continues to support women, young people and children during COVID-19. At GSI we are staying close to the situation and continuing to make adjustments to ou...r operations while maintaining the critical work with women, young people and children. During this time, we continue to offer crisis support to guests that come to the Inn. This includes crisis accommodation, case planning, risk assessment, safety plans, outreach and continued emotional support. We continue to supply meals, counselling and programs at the Inn to support women, young people and children experiencing family violence and or homelessness. We continue to follow social distancing protocols, strict procedures around hygiene, increased cleaning protocols and staggered direct service staff returning onsite.
