19.01.2022 The year before school is so important for young children. It’s where they learn the skills to develop the confidence they need to make a smooth transition to school. At Goodstart the Kindergarten program is evidence based and is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which is delivered by degree-qualified Early Childhood Teachers. This program nurtures children’s collaboration, communication, creativi...ty and critical thinking skills. Our approach gives your child the full benefits of a daily learning program while you are supported with the longer care hours we provide. That means your child gets the best start to their schooling, while you juggle the day-to-day demands of life. Find out more at: www.goodstart.org.au/kindergarten-sa

07.01.2022 Life Cycles! This Month in the Toddler room we are focusing on different life cycles. We watched a YouTube video of a life cycle song for children (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PqzF4-w7bG8). During the video we spoke about the three life cycles and what happens in them, In the video it focused on a frog, butter fly and a plant life cycle. We cannot wait for our families to see each week our progress of learning this new topic and adding on to our project wall.

07.01.2022 Introducing our Centre animals and their environment! Last year in the Toddler room we welcomed a new friend to our Centre Quinny the Japanese Quail. The children have loved having Quinny in the yard and have enjoyed feeding and caring for her each day. Quinny also loves to lay lots of eggs. Our 2 little Quails are King Quails. The girls both were named by the children at the Centre so Snowy and FooFoo is what they decided on. They are located in the hutch and Quinn is locate...d on the outside of the hutch. We also have two budgies and if you have been to our Centre they are located just as you come in the front door.

07.01.2022 During these uncertain times we want to reassure you that we are open, safe and ready to welcome all our current and new families. As Australias largest provider of early learning and care with 665 centres we are here to support in every community, in every state across Australia.

06.01.2022 We have limited vacancies available in our Kindergarten program - check out this video to find out more about what we offer. Our approach gives your child the full benefits of a daily learning program while you are supported with the longer care hours we provide. Find out more at: www.goodstart.org.au/kindergarten-sa

03.01.2022 What is National Reconciliation Week? National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The dates for NRW remain the same each year - 27 May to 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.... Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We invite you to join in the learning about National Reconciliation Week at home through Goodstart@Home which is free for Goodstart families. Listen and learn from the stories and activities on the site. Take a moment to explore how you can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia: athome.goodstart.org.au
