Today we enjoyed celebrating this wonderful milestone with lots and lots of balloons, cakes made by our amazing centre cook Mel and pass the parcel in each room! A big THANKYOU for the support of our treasured families, our beautiful dedicated Educators, everyone in our CSO and QLD head office, Bianca and our Region 43, Susan and Tiffany, SA Centres and Australia wide we are all a wonderful village that we are blessed to be apart of.

We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home and support us to reduce the spread of illness in our centre. This year Goodstart will host our annual awards virtually to celebrate Goodstart individuals and centres for the above and beyond support they have shown children, families and their communities.... One award is nominated by you - our wonderful families! This award is called the Above and Beyond Award and an individual educator, Director or an entire centre. We would love you to nominate us! 20.01.2022 Our Kindy children had a successful first visit from our local ECH Happy Valley Day Program. We will be enjoying their company at our centre every week. A beneficial outcome for both the children and the clients, building relationship and social skills, getting creative together and so much more! We are very excited!

As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. All last week we dressed in our cosy pyjamas to raise money for a fantastic cause, in giving comfort to children in a stressful time in their lives. For Backpacks 4 SA Kids INC. we raised $200!!! We just wanted to reassure you that our centre is open and we will continue to provide an essential service to our children and families. Goodstart is well prepared and has been planning around COVID-19 since early January.... Our teams are highly trained in dealing with infectious diseases and we have Public Health approved infection control processes. We use hospital-grade cleaning products and have rigorous hygiene practices and protocols in place. It is important to remember that maintaining your childs daily routines and positive relationships can be beneficial during uncertain and stressful times such as these. Our priorities are ensuring the ongoing safety, health and wellbeing of everyone in our Goodstart family and continuing to provide the highest standard of early learning and care in our 665 centres across Australia for the families that rely on us each day.

02.01.2022 Tonight the wonderful Amanda Rishworth MP, Shadow Minister of Early Childhood Education & Development gave our SUPER STAR kindergarten children an opportunity to showcase their creativity in her Art Show at Port Noarlunga Arts Centre. This amazing yearly event not only celebrates many young individuals love of art and creativity, this gave many children, their families and also of course us Educators a sense of pride and joy, boosting self esteem and confidence. Thank you Amanda for your ongoing support for the early years sector and thank you to all the children who got involved!
