24.01.2022 Every Monday from 10.15am - 11.30am (until 1st June) , we are hosting a Pop Up Mobile Playstation at Ferryden Reserve Park (corner of Sutherland Road and Montrose Street, Ferryden Park)There are activities for the children to enjoy and light snacks will be provided. We know this has caused concern for some so we wanted to make sure we update you on what we are doing at Goodstart to manage any risk. 19.01.2022 The bushfire situation across Australia is heartbreaking so we are reaching out to offer special support to our volunteer firefighters. If you are a volunteer firefighter and are actively fighting the current bushfires we would like to support you to access up to 6 weeks of free care for your child/ren at our centres. You dont have to be a current Goodstart family to qualify for this offer, the offer applies to any eligible* families across our Australian communities. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. 08.01.2022 Its Dental Hygiene Week this week (3 9 August), so weve created some fun activities you can do with your toddlers to encourage them to brush their teeth on our Goodstart@Home website. These activities are easy to do and a great way to support the development and understanding of dental hygiene and teeth brushing techniques. This years Dental Hygiene Week theme is all about sugar and How much sugar is hiding is your trolley? Wed like to encourage families to be mindful... of hidden sugars in food. Making healthy choices at the supermarket extends to making similar smart food and drink choices at home. Early childhood tooth decay can affect your childs health and cause pain, making it hard for your child to sleep, eat or speak. It can also affect your childs ability to concentrate and learn. Children who develop dental decay at an early age are more likely to suffer from it throughout childhood.
