16.01.2022 Drawing upside down This morning in toddlers the children had the opportunity to create drawings using creativity and imagination, this simple experience strengthens the children’s upper arm and shoulder muscles incorporating fine motor and cognitive elements to this experience LO 3.2.3



15.01.2022 Collecting rain water During the stormy weather children were very engaged with collecting, recycling, reducing and reusing rain water . Children and educators model showing growing appreciation and care for natural and constructed environments in our outdoor play spaces reaching learning outcome 2.4.5.

13.01.2022 Kindergarten Dinosaur Project We have painted our science discovery window with our Dinosaur Project. The children and I took turns painting our dinosaurs as we looked through the book to choose the dinosaur we wanted to paint and then executed our plan on the window. Doing this, gives the children the confidence that they are capable and competent in their work and a chance to display their work proudly for all to see.

10.01.2022 Attention families... As you are aware today our premier Mark McGowan announced a national lockdown from 6pm tonight. As per our safety correspondence in Goodstart - the following applies when dropping your children off Monday morning: ... Our national health and safety team have been closely monitoring the situation and on Monday you will need to: Wear a mask when you come to our centre (children don’t need to) Drop off and pick up your child at our foyer Limit to one parent and keep visit to under 15 minutes We will also: Limit the movement of staff between centres Reduce non-essential visitors Cancel all tours and orientations planned for the lock down period If you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, please call ahead before dropping off your child so we can talk through how to do this. Anyone experiencing the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, are asked to not attend the centre and go forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result. 07.01.2022 Cutting Autumn leaves Our Kindergarten children have spent time painting and cutting out their own interpretation of the leaves which we see on trees during Autumn.
