25.01.2022 We think it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a year unlike any other. For the world, for Australia and for our Goodstart team. Over the past few months people, families and communities have been tried and tested in the most extraordinary ways. As frontline essential workers our ‘Goodstarters’ rose to this challenge, stepping up to support our families and children through some incredibly challenging times. So Goodstart Early Learning declared this week Thank You Week! A week ...to celebrate and recognise our 10,000+ Goodstarters for continuing to go above and beyond in face of adversity. Here at Goodstart Baldivis we would like to say thank you to each educator for everything you have done. You have gone far and beyond with everything for the children and their families. We are so proud to have you on our Goodstart team Why don’t you share a thank you note to our educators and/ even encourage your children to do a special drawing or photo and will display in our thank you area. We even have thank you notes at front office for you to write on. Let’s to get into the thank you spirit!

24.01.2022 With sadness it was Ashleigh’s last day at Goodstart Baldivis on Friday. Ashleigh has been a wonderful, supportive & caring educator in all rooms for the past five years. We celebrated Ashleigh’s last day as a centre by having afternoon tea together and farewelling her with a gift from all educators We will remember you with warm thoughts and memories. Best wishes to you in the future. Thank you Ashleigh, we will miss you

23.01.2022 R u okay? It all takes a toll. It can be a lot.... That’s why it’s so important - more important than ever - to check in on your friends and family. If you think they might be struggling, be sure to check in and ask if they are ok. Let them know you’re here for them. Let them know you care. Let them know it will not always be like this. Let them know there’s hope. For many, this year has been extremely hard. In living memory, there hasn’t been one like it. And in hard times, it’s important that we all make an effort to reach out to one another and check in. This isn’t just a message for one day, or one week. It’s something we can do every day. Look after yourself, take care of your friends, and remember, we’re in this together.

17.01.2022 Did you know we have centre silk worms that are kept in our Nursery Room? The children are able to see a silk worms life cycle and begin to understand more about their natural environments. If you have any mulberry leaves at home can you please bring some in to help feed our hungry worms. Thank you

14.01.2022 Currently Educator Taneka is in Kalgoorlie to help Goodstart Somerville for this week. She is having a fantastic time learning so much about their centre and the surroundings of Kalgoorlie. In this photo she visited the super pit. Taneka cannot wait to be back to see the children and show the photos she has taken while there.

13.01.2022 Today Nursery One had water play day. Educators set up different water stations for the children to explore with all senses. The children were particularly drawn to the pour station and citrus & rose petal water sensory tub. Lovely way to spend the morning on this lovely day

10.01.2022 We are delighted to inform you that Miss Mel and Happy Feet Fitness will be returning to Goodstart Baldivis this Thursday, 6th August. Miss Mel has been dearly missed by the children and families at our centre during the pause on incursions/excursions and we know she is absolutely "Jumping for joy" to be returning this week. Happy Feet Fitness is a children's dance and fitness program, designed to inspire and educate children about healthy food and active living in a fun an...d interactive way. Miss Mel has been visiting our wonderful centre for the past 11 years and is part of the family here at Goodstart Baldivis. All children that were enrolled prior to the pause have their placement guaranteed, however if your child is not already enrolled and you would like for them to be involved, please jump on the website www.happyfeetfitness.com.au and register online. 09.01.2022 On Friday 30th October, Goodstart Baldivis celebrated Halloween with a dress up day! We had various of fun activities in each room and the children enjoyed showing their Halloween outfits How scary and cute do the look?

08.01.2022 Book Week This week the children have been loving reading some of their favourite story books and dressing up as apart of Book Week. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds

06.01.2022 We would like to reintroduce to our families our Goodstart Early Learning Baldivis Family Mingle and Meet Support Group. Last year we created this group to help families connect with other families. We had activities and snacks available. This allow families & children to be in a safe environment. Parents and carers get together with their children for a couple of hours each week to connect, learn through play and most importantly, have fun. Essentially Goodstart Baldivis i...s the most important social networks for children and families. Would you be happy for this group to reform and afternoon would suit you best? This would be held 4:15 to 5:15pm. And older siblings would be welcome. We also have Goodstart Early Learning Baldivis Family Mingle and Meet Support Group. Facebook Group connect to our main page. Our aim is to connect families with one another, providing an easy and open online community. We strive to keep this a fun and friendly environment to get advice and just have a general chit-chat. We are all different, so we ask that you be kind to one another and respectful in our responses. 06.01.2022 Goodstart Awards - 2020 Family nominations are now open! This year Goodstart will host our annual awards virtually to celebrate Goodstart individuals and centres for the above and beyond support they have shown children, families and their communities.... One award is nominated by you - our wonderful families! This award is called the ‘Above and Beyond Award’ and an individual educator or an entire centre. We would love you to nominate us! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the amazing team we have here at Goodstart Baldivis. This has been a big year for everyone at our centre and we were hoping you would join us in celebrating this in a special way this year.... Early Childhood Educators Day happens to coincide with the start of spring and what better way to show our appreciation than saying it with FLOWERS! We’d love to fill the centre with some springtime joy and ask if you could possibly bring some greenery or flowers in on the day, for our centre or for the educators in your child’s room. It doesn’t matter whether they are from a shop, from your garden or from the side of the road they will surely put a smile on the faces of our educators! Maybe your little one would even like to create a card and draw flowers or a portrait of your favourite educator or even make a thank you video? Let your creativity run wild!
