She read a lovely book which had lots of pictures for the children to visually see what they needed to do. ... The children then had the opportunity to use some bandages to wrap up pretend injuried people. This incursion benefitted the children for real life learning and experience. Remember to talk with your child about what they should do in an emergency at home and how to contact emergency help if they need to.

The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples.

18.01.2022 On Wednesday we celebrated Diwali Hindu Festival. The children participated in many activities that are part of the Diwali Festival. A big thanks to our wonderful educator Servesh for teaching our children about Diwali, they loved it.... Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance." During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated. The preparations, and rituals, for the festival typically last five days, with the climax occurring on the third day coinciding with the darkest night of the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika. In the Gregorian calendar, the festival generally falls between mid-October and mid-November.

All of the children had the opportunity to feel both eggs before one was submerged in vinegar. After a couple of days, the egg was removed from the vinegar. This is some of the reactions from the children after looking at a normal egg and the one from the vinegar. "One has hard eggshell, one has soft skin!. "This one is a normal egg, th...is one the soft and floating. "This one’s skin is coming off!

06.01.2022 This week we celebrated Diwali Diwali means series of lights, is a five-day festival that coincides with the Hindu New Year. Diwali falls on the 15th day of Kartika, the holiest month in the Hindu calendar. How do people celebrate Diwali? Homes and businesses celebrate the festival of light by using diyas, which are small clay lamps, and by decorating with strings of lights. There are large fireworks celebrations to honour the message of the celebration of light overcoming ...the dark. Rangoli patterns colourful artwork made of rice or powder are created at the entrances to homes. New clothes are worn during the festival, and the house is cleaned to welcome Lakshmi before Diwali begins. During the festival, gifts are exchanged, sweet and savory foods are eaten, and those celebrating are encouraged to help others in need. See more

05.01.2022 Children have been exploring the obstacle course a lot over the last few weeks. They have been challenging themselves to complete sections that they would usually seek help with. Some children explore on their own while others encourage their peers to join in with them. While children are using their large gross motor skills during this experience, they are also gaining confidence as they persist with challenges. This experience also helps to further develop their social skills.
