Today is a day of respect and sharing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Our cultural officer Kerrie shared with all of the children as she passed down stories of her childhood and shared artifacts and telling of the stories behind the painted Emu eggs and canvases within our centre. Kerrie also talked about bush tucker and how no part of the bush tucker is wasted by being made into artifacts and jewelry.

19.01.2022 OUTDOOR CLASSROOM DAY We want to make people understand that spending time outdoors is as important for children’s development as learning to read and write. We want to show how learning outside of the classroom engages and excites children in spectacular ways even in the rain! ... Outdoor play is the key to improving children’s health, wellbeing and happiness, we are very lucky to have such a large enriching yard for our children, that helps challenge their minds and build on their skills such as risk taking, sharing and cooperation. There is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing

16.01.2022 HALLOWEEN 2020 Macquarie Care Nursing Home has been a very special part of our centre for many years and we have spent many hours with the residents engaging in craft opportunities and many wonderful conversations. Unfortunately, we are not able to do this at this point in time, but we were able to take part in a wonderful community project initiated by Macquarie Care. Although side the residents of Macquarie Care we got creative and made many wonderful creations to be p...ut on display in their yard. On Friday the children dressed up in their Halloween costumes and we walked over to Macquarie Care to look at the display and wave to the residents through the gate.... there many have also been a few cheeky lollies for the kids too! Look out for our upcoming Christmas Display we are both creating!
11.01.2022 Another year done and dusted at the Bathurst Eisteddfod! It looked a little different this year as we couldn't enter with a large group, instead we entered a modern, ballet, jazz and traditional dance in trios/duos. A special thanks to Jordan Boney and our very own McKenzie Barwick for taking the time to teach these Preschoolers the dances!

06.01.2022 Did you know that our beloved Aussie Icon the 'Koala' is facing extinction by 2050, following the huge bushfire losses and excessive tree clearing that has happened in Australia. The koala is a unique part of our identity. Our children cherish them and the world adores them. It's our responsibility to protect this wildlife so it thrives. During September we raisied funds to help support the World Wide Funds For Nature-WWF and this allowed us to adopt a koala on behalf of our ...centre. Please help support these amazing organisations that are providing an invaluable service to our Koalas and country.

The children will now collect food scraps from the kitchen and the rooms to feed the worms and in turn directly compost our ever growing garden.
