We’re excited to share with you a short TV ad we’ve put together that looks back on the year that was and how we all came together in this extraordinary year. We adapted to change, tackled a global pandemic head on and never lost sight of what really mattered early learning, care and support for children, no matter what. Because we’re Goodstart. ... 09.01.2022 The year before school is so important for young children. It’s where they learn the skills to develop the confidence they need to make a smooth transition to school. At Goodstart the Kindergarten program is evidence based and is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which is delivered by degree-qualified Early Childhood Teachers. This program nurtures children’s collaboration, communication, creativi...ty and critical thinking skills. Our approach gives your child the full benefits of a daily learning program while you are supported with the longer care hours we provide. That means your child gets the best start to their schooling, while you juggle the day-to-day demands of life. Find out more at: www.goodstart.org.au/kindergarten-sa

07.01.2022 Dear families We’re sharing this poster with every family at our centre today as part of a reminder to ourselves that while we’ve been working to keep everyone safe from COVID-19 for nearly nine months now we can’t afford to let our guard down. We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. If your child isn’t feeling w...ell, please keep them home and support us to reduce the spread of illness in our centre. Thanks again for helping keep everyone at Goodstart Brighton by following this simple guide because COVID-19 is still a thing.

05.01.2022 This week is National Children's Week. Children’s Week is a national celebration of children’s rights, talents and citizenship held on the fourth Wednesday of October in Australia to coincide with Universal Children’s Day. Each year the theme of Children’s Week highlights a particular Children’s Right. The Theme for 2020 is ‘Children have the right to meet together and to join groups and organisations, as long as this does not stop other people from enjoying their rights.... This includes being free to: meet individual people and groups of friends set up an organisation join an organisation take part in peaceful protest come together to discuss the issues that affect their lives. Children’s Week 2020 is a wonderful opportunity to promote the rights of children and young people, and to celebrate their capacity to actively contribute to the world around them.

01.01.2022 Hi Families! The Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) is conducting a survey for all Australian families as we head toward 'COVID normal'. They need your help to understand what family life has been like in Australia since the COVID-crisis emerged. Particularly as each state and territory came out of the first lockdown differently - what does 'normal' mean for your family now? The survey is open to anyone living in Australia aged 18 and over with the findings helping to inform future Government policy. Have your say now! https://aifs.gov.au/fia-survey-landing
