25.01.2022 Miss Brenda assisted the children in making some Birds this morning and they were flying everywhere The children were heavily engaged in this activity as their love for arts and crafts is absolutely overflowing. The children were identifying their colours, working with materials that were assisting their education with shape recognition, and whilst this activity enhances their fine motor skills, they were also passionate about perfecting their art and showing everyone the outcome.

25.01.2022 A Good Educator is one that provides all learners the capabilities they require to become productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peaceful societies and enhance individual well-being. A good Educator is one that has their childrens’ best interests at heart. The ones who go above and beyond to ensure the safety, well-being and the ones that guide our little ones into an amazing Early Childhood. Like the ones that work at our centre... GOODSTART CABOOLTURE.

20.01.2022 Did you see our story of the day in the Kidergarten room, today Learning stories are key methods in the development of a child's sense of identity and growth within Early Childhood. By knowing what it is they are doing and understanding how they learn, children can develop their own interests as well as an all-important sense of self-worth.... They help children learn what it is to be part of a community, and to show our parents an overview of their little ones day and connect these activities to learning is a pleasure. We love our parents to be involved and know what we get up too every day. Keep an eye out for more day stories of what adventure your child goes on next.

20.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated Miss Neshi and all wished her a happy birthday. A few little friends all joined in on her birthday wishes too we hope you had a lovely day Neshi x

19.01.2022 Self help station When children practice self-help skills such as getting their own drinks and pouring their own water, they are practicing their large and small motor skills. They are gaining confidence in their ability to try new things and building up their own self-esteem. This also encourages growth with their independence. We love encouraging children to try new things the satisfaction of I did it makes their hard work worth all of their perseverance.

19.01.2022 The Nursery children had a great time dancing this afternoon. Miss Bindi and Miss Kim cheered them on, while they all showed off their moves! Regular dance motions can increase children’s Flexibility, range of motion, physical strength and stamina. The repetitive movements involved in dance can improve muscle tone, correct poor posture, increase balance and coordination and improve overall cardiovascular health. Our Nursery Educators work so hard in supporting, educating, motivating and working with our babies to provide them with unconditional love and exceptional guidance.

19.01.2022 Purple Day has grown into a well known and supported national awareness day with thousands of people across Australia gathering within their community, education and corporation sectors to raise much needed awareness and funds for those affected by epilepsy. #epilepsyawareness #goodstartcaboolture #goodstartearlylearning #love #support #community #worthycause

18.01.2022 Miss Kylie, you are the hand and Mr Zain, you are the one wearing the helmet. Look at his proud little face!! Drawing for children has so many amazing benefits! Drawing helps create fine motor skills, encourages visual analysis, assists in establishing concentration, improves hand-eye coordination, increases confidence and teaches problem solving. The children love to draw and we love to see their pictures. ... We were so proud of this picture. We had to share!

17.01.2022 Oh my goodness! A pirate scarf and a book about animal poo Show and Share never disappoints in Kindergarten. With a large variety of items that interest the children, there is never a dull moment. The children love showing off what they bring in. Show and share helps build their confidence, encourages their peers to listen and engages everyone as one whole group. What will you bring to show and share next week....

16.01.2022 Miss Kelly had the children enjoying plenty of time together in the sandpit. The children laughed and played and engaged in their experience with each other, while Miss Kelly taught them the importance of sand play. Playing in the sand can be a great opportunity for children to have unstructured play time. Whether shaped into castles, dug, sifted, buried, or turned into mermaids and different animals, sand can provide endless opportunities for fun and learning. Allowing chi...ldren to play in the sand helps them to develop fine motor skills like those necessary to use a small shovel, pull a truck and build a castle. By burying themselves in sand, and feeling their body position within the sand, children begin to learn the space they need to feel comfortable. Sand play also offers a space for toys that children can share while accomplishing goals they set for themselves like building a castle together. See more

16.01.2022 SPRING SENSORY BAGS! Today, in Toddlers, they were exploring the colours of Spring, by stimulating their senses of touch and sight through sensory bags. The Toddlers enjoyed this activity and were thoroughly engaged, whilst Miss Neshi pointed out different colours and flowers to them.

13.01.2022 Seriously, who doesn’t love bubbles Miss Sarah had the children all dancing around yesterday afternoon, trying to catch bubbles. Bubbles are wet and slimy - which of course is the best part, but the physical act of blowing can be a very effective sensory-based way to help children organise, calm and focus their bodies. The children had a fabulous time with Miss Sarah and the activity was a huge success

09.01.2022 Children can learn new skills, have fun, play and develope self confidence by spending time around gardens or tending to plants. Most children enjoy being outside and digging in soil, getting dirty, creating things and most importantly watching plants grow The children had fun playing with each other this afternoon, whilst digging in the soil of the pot plants.

08.01.2022 Today, the 23rd of September, is the International Day or sign language. In order to raise awareness of the importance of sign language in the full realisation of the human rights of people who are deaf. 05.01.2022 Extending on with the dinosaur theme in the Nursery room, the children enjoyed a dinosaur hunt in the sand pit!! They put on their detective hats and physically searched for the Dinosaur pictures in the sand. They hunted and searched and uncovered different photos of dinosaurs which saw the children communicating, building friendships and exploring all while using their senses and eye sight to find the hidden dinosaurs!!! #learning #exploring #dinosaurs #Nurseryagedfun #goodstartcaboolture #goodstartearlylearning

05.01.2022 Miss Kyra and the mud pit When Children play with mud, it allows them to express their creativity. Miss Kyra had the children moulding different shapes in the mud pit, while the children where cooperating, negotiating and communicating. They were sharing turns with who did what, and then showing their friends what they had made. Playing in mud enhances fine motor skills whilst also allows children the chance to gain confidence in a different area of play.... #playbasedlearning #goodstartcaboolture #goodstartearlylearning

04.01.2022 BUBBLES!!!!! Bubbles are an excellent way to help your baby or toddler develop visual skills. Because bubbles are both eye catching and slow moving, they are a great way to help your little one learn to use hand eye co-ordination and developer these skills. The Nursery children loved Miss Bindi blowing bubbles for them and were running around all over the place trying to catch the bubbles before they popped.

02.01.2022 Special Flowers for World Educators Day from a special little friend. There is no place like Goodstart Caboolture. There is no love like the love offered from an Early Childhood Educator. 01.01.2022 Here at Goodstart Caboolture, we strongly believe in creating a fun, safe and joyful environment for children that will help them learn through play. Through their own imaginations our children were rangers watching birds. Our wonderful Miss Donna took on the task of changing up our play forte and turning it into a safari jungle. This had the children, bird watching, climbing the safari trees and looking through the tall grass. What an exciting adventure they are embarking on. #goodstartcaboolture #goodstartearlylearning #imagination #imaginationiseverything #playbasedlearningforallabilities
