24.01.2022 Painting can help children learn sizes, shapes, patterns and designs. These are all critical aspects of their curriculum during the early years. Painting helps children develop their decision-making skills. Like the Pre-Kindy children today, individuals have the opportunity to work on their social skills, taking or waiting turns. It is also a great opportunity to increase communication and friendship with peers.

18.01.2022 In the Kindergarten learning environment we provide a playbased learning programme which helps support the children learn intentional teaching through play. This morning the children were provided with playdough and scissors. We focused on fine motor, hand eye coordination, persistence and patience while provoking creativity with our peers throughout the experience.... The educators demonstrated how to hold the scissors and supported the children through role modelling and guiding them when needed. Alot of creativity was sparked as the children confidently spoke about what they were creating as they manipulated the playdough with the scissors. if you would like to participate in our learning experiences here at Julie Street by organising a stay and play or centre tour give our centre director Miss Alicia a call on (07) 3803 0567 or send through an email to [email protected]
