25.01.2022 P H O T O D A Y A reminder that our school photo days are - Wednesday 7th October - 8am-1230pm... Thursday 8th October - 8am-1230pm We have bookings available for children that do not attend these days, this is to ensure we can follow our COVID-19 policy / practices around social distancing. If your child does attend on these days, the staff will be assisting in ensuring everyone's photos are taken. If you would like to pack clothes / a photo outfit for your child to change into to ensure they are clean/tidy in their photo, please put the change of the clothes in their bag (including a brush if needed) clearly labelled and let staff know so we can organise this before their photo time. If it is easier to send them in their outfit this is also fine! We will be trying our best to ensure each child is kept 'tidy'. REMINDER - we also need photo forms return to ensure each order is placed correctly.

16.01.2022 WEDNESDAY 07/04/2021 Our very first excursion to the ‘Community garden’ this year with our big Preschoolers! & Oh, what a time we had: Searching for worms in the worm farm, and learning about them too! ... Exploring the different gardens Picking vegetables and fruit Collecting pine cones & bark for craft Learning about crossing roads safely Collecting beetles in the bug catcher & naming them before releasing them back to the garden! We can’t wait until next Wednesday when we get to go back over & explore some more! Next week we will donating our food scraps from morning tea for the worms!

09.01.2022 WEDNESDAY - 14.4.2021 Excursion number 2, to the community garden! And this is how it went: ... Julie (community garden member) had set up a treasure hunt activity, we looked for pictures of bugs/beetles/insects/worms in the garden! We then found some real bugs, beetles and worms of course - we watched them for a moment, and learnt about them before releasing them back to the garden. We saved some fruit and vegetable scraps from the centre, and took them over and fed them to the worms! AND then we ............. picked flowers, checked out the growing vegetables in the veggie patch, listened to a book called ‘in the garden’ provided by the community garden, we played a game of pretending we were different creatures and how they move around, found some pine cones & made a donation to the community garden so it can continue to grow!
