17.01.2022 The year before school is so important for young children. It’s where they learn the skills to develop the confidence they need to make a smooth transition to school. At Goodstart the Kindergarten program is evidence based and is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which is delivered by degree-qualified Early Childhood Teachers. This program nurtures children’s collaboration, communication, creativi...ty and critical thinking skills. Our approach gives your child the full benefits of a daily learning program while you are supported with the longer care hours we provide. That means your child gets the best start to their schooling, while you juggle the day-to-day demands of life. Find out more at: www.goodstart.org.au/kindergarten-sa

While we acknowledge the First Peoples of Australia during NAIDOC Week, we also do this throughout the year. Here are a few happy snaps of some of the awesome learning experiences the children enjoyed this week.

05.01.2022 Dear families, Following the State Government’s announcement that a six-day lockdown will begin at midnight tonight, I wanted to provide you with some further information. Our centre will remain open for children of essential workers and those in vulnerable circumstances. For children who can attend, please be assured we have maintained the highest level of hygiene since the beginning of the pandemic, and further strengthened these measures as community transmission was ident...ified this week. This has included two-hourly touchpoint cleaning, health and wellness checks and limiting the number of non-staff adults within the centre. These measures will stay in place over the coming weeks. We also know that during uncertain times, routines and familiar faces are really important for children. We have and will continue to provide the best possible learning and care for all children in our centre. For those of you unable to attend or do not wish to send your child to care you can access our online learning platform Goodstart@home which is packed with fun, play-based learning activities. To sign up for free email [email protected] We know this week has been increasingly concerning for families but please be assured that we are here to help. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me to discuss the above. As always, I am here to help and answer any questions you may have. Kind regards Elizabeth vale educators

03.01.2022 Coming to visit my friends today

03.01.2022 Last week we launched a special partnership with BW Tribal to provide all 16,000 of our Goodstart team with a free Goodstart NAIDOC shirt. Melody Ingra, Goodstart’s Cultural Liaison said the initiative was about enabling all Goodstart employees to connect with this year’s theme of ‘Heal Country’. Our teams can choose from three beautifully designed shirts created by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists Kiya Watt, Joel Sam and Leah Brideson, each with their own un...ique story. We take seriously our responsibility to ensure the next generation of Australians grow up with connection to and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, people and our true history. By wearing our shirts across more than 670 communities nationally, we hope to spark many conversations ahead of and during National NAIDOC Week with each other, our children and our families. #NAIDOC https://www.goodstart.org.au//goodstarters-to-proudly-%E2% See more

03.01.2022 Dear families We’re sharing this poster with every family at our centre today as part of a reminder to ourselves that while we’ve been working to keep everyone safe from COVID-19 for nearly nine months now we can’t afford to let our guard down. We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. If your child isn’t feeling w...ell, please keep them home and support us to reduce the spread of illness in our centre. Thanks again for helping keep everyone at Goodstart Elizabeth Vale by following this simple guide because COVID-19 is still a thing.
