25.01.2022 Today at goodstart Elwood all of our staff came dressed in bright colours to bring some light. We created rainbows throughout the rooms and made an effort not to speak about covid-19! Happy Friday everyone. We hope you all have a beautiful weekend. Xxx

I...f your child is enrolled in one of our centres and you are still working, studying or searching for work you will be able to send your child for free from Monday 6 April. 18.01.2022 Our children engaged creativity exploring with Ochre, traditionally used by Indigenous Aboriginal people for painting rocks, caves, and their bodies for cultural ceremonies. Colours depended on the land and additions, such as emu and kangaroo oils. 09.01.2022 This week, Goodstart Elwood engaged in many conversations with the children about what ANZAC Day is and how we can remember the soldiers who fought for our country. The children listened to Anzac Ted by Belinda Landsberry & Alfreds War by Rachel Bin Salleh. We found these books to be able to help us explain the message in an age appropriate way. We made poppies and wreaths just like the ones in the books. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them.

For some families, there wont be any further action required as they correctly estimated their income and received the correct amount of CCS during the year. In this case, a family will have their 5% withheld CCS paid directly to them. 2. Some families may not have been paid enough CCS during the year. If this happens, theyll be paid any outstanding amounts directly. DHS call th...is a top up payment. 3. Other families may have been paid too much CCS during the year. If this happens, families may owe money, which they have to pay back to DHS. DHS may recover overpayments of CCS from future CCS, Family Tax Benefit (FTB) payments (including arrears), FTB top ups and supplements as well as tax refunds. 02.01.2022 Dear families, As you will be aware the Victorian Premier has announced that from Sunday night Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions with stronger rules to limit the movement of people and limit the spread of this virus across the city New restrictions for schools and early learning centres will apply from Wednesday.... At this stage all our centres will remain open for the children of essential and emergency workers as well as for vulnerable children We are currently working through the detail of this with the Government to determine these definitions As soon as we have more information we will provide an update via Storypark and email. I appreciate this is an uncertain time for many of our families but please be assured we are here to support you and your children as much as we can. Goodstart Elwood team
