20.01.2022 During this week, we have celebrated science week. Children from the nursery and the toddler room were making a volcano with educator's help in the sandpit. Children sat in a circle and watched it with enthusiasm. Educators added baking soda, vinegar and food dye to the sand to create a volcano. Children were amazed to see the lava coming out from the volcano. What an amazing science experience for the children!
17.01.2022 Goodstart have made the decision to reduce the fees at our Centre as of next week Monday,12th of October, 2020. We are mindful of the difficult financial circumstance and uncertainty many families now face. We have made this decision to support ongoing affordability for our local families, to ensure children are able to access the high quality early learning and care which we know is so vital in their early years. Please contact our service if you have any questions.
15.01.2022 Sensory experiences are important for your baby's learning and development. 14.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Children at Goodstart Early Learning Eumemmerring have been busy with a variety of activities. In the nursery room and toddler room children have been painting on barks and sticks. In the pre-kindy room children made some foot tracing. In the pre-school room children used clay to create few echidna and they used sticks for their spikes. We have been reading a book "Stolen Girl".
12.01.2022 In our Nursery Room we are introducing Science throughout many simple activities. This week the children have participated actively in a fun filled Science experiment mixing colours.
10.01.2022 This Men’s Health Week is about raising awareness of men’s physical and mental health issues and speaking out about them! At our service some of the children were taking part of this awareness and telling us "How do they feel about their dads, grandpas, uncles, brothers" and ‘What do they do to be strong and healthy’. Some of the children said: "Eating vegetables make people strong and healthy". After our discussion children drew their dad’s, grandpa’s, brother’s, uncle’s favorite vegetable and fruit. We would like to thank Madhu’s father for reading a book with our toddler children on Tuesday.

07.01.2022 We have an ongoing project based activity in the 3-4 year old groups of children at the moment. Children have started this project last month by exploring leaves at outdoor playtime. Our goal for the children is to develop curiosity, imagination, thinking skills and early literacy skills. We are also having discussions about native plants as a follow up activity.
06.01.2022 Children's Week is a national celebration that recognizes the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. Children in our Pre-Kindy room have been reading lots of books. One of their favorite book is called: I need a Parrot. In this story we read/learn about parrot's needs and how to look after them, feeding them with seeds and cleaning their cages etc.
01.01.2022 One, Two, Three, Four, Five, once I caught a fish alive is one of the most familiar and favorite song among our children in the toddler room at the moment. The words and numbers on each fish are enhancing children’s knowledge and foster children’s awareness of literacy and numeracy. A set of magnetic fishing rod was also provided to develop children’s fine motor skills and extend their eye-hand co-ordination skills.
