22.01.2022 Harmony Week!! last week we showed our respect and acknowledgement with a Morning Tea at the Centre with the children. Across the week we read books, completed art and all came together for song and dance. We were privileged to have representatives attending our morning tea from Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre Aboriginal Corporation. Thank you to Dee and Patty for joining in our day. We would like to thank Forbes Council for donating $$$ to our Harmony Week Celebrations.... We were able to decorate the Centre and put on a special morning tea for children, staff and guests.. Thank you to Sarah and the Forbes Council team for the generous donation and joining in our celebrations. What is Harmony Week? ***Everyone belongs*** It is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, and the successful integration of migrants into our community. Australia is one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world and we should celebrate this and work to maintain it. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values. Orange is the colour for Harmony Week. Our children and staff dressed in Orange for the day, or even the week. Warm regards, Jo Centre Director

You go above and beyond for our children and families and without you guys the centre would not be what it is! Happy Educators day, enjoy your day!

20.01.2022 At Goodstart we celebrated the Teddy Bear Picnic in conjunction with Children's Week which is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. Thank you to Forbes Shire Council and the Forbes Youth Action Team for organising and funding this event. Congratulations to our Teddy Bear Picnic Kindness Tree Acknowledgement Award Winners. 19.01.2022 Each child is so special and individual with their own abilities

17.01.2022 Children are invited to bring their Teddy bear to Goodstart for Children's Week, which celebrates the rights of children to enjoy childhood and focuses the attention of the wider community on children, their rights and achievements. The Teddy Bear Picnic with be held all week from Monday 19th to Friday the 23rd October. The Goodstart children will engage in learning experiences and celebrations to enhance the rights and achievements of all our wonderful children!

15.01.2022 The Kindness Tree has bloomed and on its leaves are kind and respectful things the children have been displaying. On Friday a council representative will choose the winners. Thursday was a party Teddy Bear Picnic day and we celebrated with party food and an amazing Teddy Bear cake !!
