23.01.2022 Goodstart Toolooa street in the kindergarten room we are celebrating NAIDOC week with our children to kick off this week long celebrations Aboriginal and Torres straight people we have introduced some beautiful books as well as some natural resources that Miss Deb has collected while she lived in the Northern Territory. This experience allows the children to broaden their understanding of the world in which they live.

This learning opportunity will allow the children to demonstrate a sense of belonging and comfort in their environments. Children can place the objects inside the heart while their family signs them in. Children use play to investigate, project and explore new ideas. Not only is this engaging for children this is a also a crucial p...art of your child’s development. Spatial awareness skills gives children the ability to understand and interact with the environment around them. 13.01.2022 What an exciting morning today with the wild life paying the Toolooa children a visit. Miss Maree built up a Lorikeets trust by feeding them a bowl of bread dipped in honey and water Maree then slowly transitioned to feeding them out of her hand. The children were overjoyed to see the Lorikeets up close and they had a great story to take home to their families. It was an amazing experience and we hope they visit us again

11.01.2022 Our friends in Senior Toddler 2 enjoyed story time with their senior educator Miss Toni reading Blossom possum using provocations. Reading books with provocations are a Reggio Emilia Approach . For children a Reggio inspired provocation is an open ended activity that doesn’t have a prescribed outcome,instead it is designed to stimulate ideas ,initiative and imagination for and amongst children , whether they choose to explore their ideas alone or in groups.

11.01.2022 In our toddler room the educators have been having beautiful interactions with the children during group time while singing baby shark. The children are showing interest with their peers and being part of a group and feeling emotionally connected within a group setting, this supports the children having a sense of belonging in their environment.

06.01.2022 Yesterday mornings invitation to play caused such a buzz of excitement on the yard as the children arrived at Daycare. Everyone excitedly picked up a clipboard with a checklist on it and a magnifying glass and began to search the yard to tick off the list. So we’ve declared this week Thank You Week! A week to celebrate and recognise our 10,000+ Goodstarters for continuing to go above and beyond in face of adversity.
