25.01.2022 Wishing all our wonderful Mother's at Goodstart Hobart a Mother's Day filled with happiness and love.

24.01.2022 Our Educational Leader, Bernadette, attended the Key Educator Relationship training on the 7th of August. As a whole Centre over the next few weeks, we will be continuing with our implementation Key Educator Relationships in all our Learning Spaces. Key educator relationships support the building of a strong, secure, reciprocal, and communicative relationship between each child and their family, which is based on trust and respect with one key educator whilst the child is in ...an early learning environment. This relationship is supported by a secondary educator when the key educator is unavailable. Having more than three educators taxes the very young child and dilutes the quality and depth of the child’s relationships (Pawl, 2011). Early childhood care and education must not be a parking place for young children, but instead a viable, rich setting to safely learn more about the complex nature of relationships (Pawl, 1990). Key educators support the deepening of relationships through which educators get to know how to relate to individual children, children get to know how to relate to their key educator, and the educator and child’s family work together. For families, this means they always have a ‘go to’ person in the Centre to discuss their child, ask questions or raise concerns while for children, key educators help to form strong and secure relationships which are essential for learning and well-being. 22.01.2022 During the week, Heather and Nobu, attended Narragunnawali Reoncilliation in Schools & Early Learning training. The information that they gathered and bought back to the centre will go a long way in helping us to create our own Reconcilliation Action Plan. Heather and Nobu will be sharing what they have learnt with everyone in the centre.

16.01.2022 Sarah, Tamara and Tristan attended a workshop focused on the new Child Care Subsidy yesterday. We now feel super confident with our understanding of the changes and are ready to support families to ensure a smooth transition for everyone. Over the coming weeks we will be contacting families individually to make a time to meet one on one to discuss your options in relation to the CCS changes to ensure you are maximising your CCS hours to their fullest potential. We have commenced meetings as families are available and please do not hesitate to approach us to plan a suitable time for us to support you with these changes and confirm your bookings for the new financial year.

05.01.2022 A few weeks ago, we had a Sleep Specialist come in to assist Learning Space 1 with children's sleeping patterns. This turned out vto be very informative and the advise provided has been used to assist all children within the room to get adequate amounts of good quality sleep. A happy baby means happy parents.
