Though not a childrens book, one of our wonderful parents Ayik Chut is an Author of his own auto biography The Lost Boy, a story of his life as a child soldier in the Militia of South Sudan who came to escape, relocate and start his life again in Brisbane! All the children came together on the Veranda and Acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land. It was beautiful seeing them all together. I...f your child is enrolled in one of our centres and you are still working, studying or searching for work you will be able to send your child for free from Monday 6 April. As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We will provide an update to our centres and our families later today and over the coming days as we learn more. #5weekstogo! See more

Our team would like to advise all families and that as per QLD Health & the QLD Government regulations that tomorrow Monday the 11th of January all staff and families will be required to wear masks to enter our service, and we are not taking any Centre Tours or visitors at this time. Our Responsible Staff will be available in the morning to collect children from the bottom of our driveway and ask that our families please avoid entering the playgrounds and class...room areas. Staff will be available for both morning drop off and afternoon pick up to do a quick and safe handover of the children. We ask that you please respect these guidelines to ensure that we are able to keep our staff, children, and families safe. We thank you for your support and co operation. Can I tell you we have an amazing group of Kindergarten children at Goodstart Indooroopilly York street, who are master Chefs in the making. In only three weeks they have learnt so much about baking and are so quick to answer our cooking Questions. I am loving my time in the Kindergarten room cooking .....
