23.01.2022 Our Pre-kindergarten children have found a great way to use there extra Ooshies. Colour sorting is a great way for the children to explore and recognise colours. Great work Pre-Kindy.

22.01.2022 Look what the Pre-Kindy room celebrated! The Indian Hindu festival ‘Diwali’, It signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. Also acclaimed as the Festival of Lights, Diwali is associated with lights, sweets, and liveliness. Hindu people light Diya's (clay lamps) throughout their home to ward off darkness and evil. Diwali tells the story of how Prince Rama returned from exile with his wife, Sita, to his king...dom, after overcoming the 10-headed demon Ravana with the help of Hanuman, the monkey god, and his army of monkeys. People were so delighted that they lit the couple’s return with rows of lights. Miss Kalpana brought traditional Indian dresses, Sarees and jewellery children and educators get opportunities to dress up and wear jewellery. In preparation for Diwali children have been busy with arts and crafts , making candles / lights to display for festival, children also did dough making of candle holders and decorated with glittery collage .

21.01.2022 Today the Toddlers used bubbles in their play. It is a great sensory experience, and a different way for children to explore water.

19.01.2022 The Kindergarten children recently set up an ice-cream shop. A natural way for children to explore pre writing skills is to extend on their interests. One of these ways is by making signs to support their social play, building their shop.

18.01.2022 Today the Senior Toddler’s were all about spring and nurturing our garden, in our outdoor environment. Miss Nic sat with the children who were invited to use recycled tubes that had been cut and spilt at the ends to create a flower pattern. The children were offered blue yellow and orange paint to dip their tubes into, and create their own flower designs on the paper plates, making beautiful flowers. To extend on this experience today, we used our recycled rain water in our tanks to fill our watering cans and water our gardens, where the children have planted some sunflowers On these hot days we will continue to nurture our garden and watch our flowers grow.

16.01.2022 Today our Pre-Kindy group used some shaving cream as cement and small blocks to role play building with bricks . What a great way to bring the community into the service. Good Job everyone!

11.01.2022 Wibble Wobble Jelly Play!! Looks like great fun Senior Toddlers!

08.01.2022 The Pre-Kindy children were exploring with tubes and water. They were asking the question how are we going to get the water from here to here.? Working together the children worked out if we use a watering can attached to the tubing we then can take turns to pour the water down into the tub. This was a great science project. Great Job Pre-Kindy

07.01.2022 Painting is a great way for children to express themselves. Love your big snail it looks amazing!
