24.01.2022 Look out Kyneton our centre is finally back out into the community!! Today our pre kinder children enjoyed some space, fresh air and games lead by our wonderful Pre kinder teacher Christy at the park. Christy intends to make this a regular part of her program for the 3 year olds, utilising the space for many different gross motor activities and experiences.. I can’t wait to see what they get up to next week

22.01.2022 Taking the childrens temperature each morning has quickly become the new normal at our centre. Its amazing how quickly they have adjusted to this change through the reassurance and support of our educators. 15.01.2022 Once again we are so humbled by the generosity of our amazing centre community. Today we raised $63 for the day for Daniel foundation.. which was then matched by one very special family bringing our total raised to $126!!! Thank you to everyone who donated to this important cause

15.01.2022 We are thrilled to share with our families that on Monday 16th November, we will be welcoming our second early childhood teacher to our centre team!! Christy will be working to deliver an amazing program to our 2&3 year olds in preparation of offering a 3 year old kinder program in 2022. Exciting times ahead for Goodstart Kyneton!

13.01.2022 Lockdown has ended and the sun was out, what better reason to explore the great outdoors!! Another exciting day at the centre today as our babies ventured out in the prams to explore the park and connect with nature! While our kinder children used their green thumbs in the garden... can’t wait to taste some of our growing vegetables!!

12.01.2022 Spring into spring day was a huge success with our children and educators all getting into the spirit. We built our scarecrow and raised $75.85 for the local CFA

Eilish will be working in our nursery 5 days a week, and is currently studying her cert 3 in early childhood education and care. 09.01.2022 Our kinder room is ran by our fabulous kinder teacher Michelle, who has over 20 years experience. Michelles program provides children endless learning opportunities, is planned and purposeful and builds on childrens social and emotional skills they need to help get them ready for school. Our program is government recognised and provides all the same features as stand alone kinder with the added bonus of running over school holiday periods. 07.01.2022 Science week kicked off today with each room making weird and wonderful discoveries about science!! Our kinder children are exploring the effects of liquids watching oil and water mix to create their very own lava lamps.. now thats cool

07.01.2022 Using story stones provides children with a different way to tell and listen to a story. Literacy comes in a wide variety of ways, and with each different picture drawn on the stones, children are able to explore their endless imagination and ideas to great purpose. Together a story is created with the prompt of pictures, using language and social skills as ideas can be shared and extended... the possibilities are endless from such a simple beautiful idea.

These experiences nurture childrens curiosity, problem solving skills and understanding of how the world around them works. Just look at those curious minds at work!!!!

04.01.2022 Kindergartens across Victoria will recieve a funding boost to support vulnerable children in their early learning. The 'School Readiness' grants will allow access to specialists, language and literacy therapists and child psychologists.

03.01.2022 Our kinder children became palaeontologists today, as they extended on their interest in dinosaurs by chipping away to unveil fossils in plaster moulds made by our amazing kinder teacher Michelle. Every day in our kinder room provides new discoveries and learning opportunities for our curious children here at Goodstart Kyneton.

03.01.2022 What an exciting morning we have had at the centre this morning for footy colours day!!! So great seeing everyone in their team colours. Thank you for all the gold coin donations going towards finding a cure for childhood cancer.

03.01.2022 A box, some sand and a long plastic stick. 3 simple objects and yet so much learning occurring. Exploring and expanding literacy skills in a fun, creative way through forming letters in the sand.. something to try at home

03.01.2022 The mornings are cold but the days have been lovely.. perfect for planting in our garden and learning about sustainability. Our children have been enjoying watching our vegetables grow, watering them and of corse tasting. Brussel sprouts are the newest addition to our garden kindly donated by one of our fabulous families
