25.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educators Day! The challenges we have faced this year have been like nothing we could have ever imagined. Throughout everything we have faced personally and professionally our amazing Goodstart Lara Educators have continued to make a difference in little peoples lives. Although the extra pressure of the pandemic and everything it has thrown at them has at times been extremely challenging they still spend their days doing their absolute best for the chi...ldren, all with a smile on their faces! We thank them today on Educators Day for the amazing things they do every day they come through the front door at Goodstart Lara. We thank them for being part of our amazing Goodstart Lara family. We know many in our community and across the world have had to face challenges they never thought possible and this has of course included our Goodstart Lara family. As frontline essential workers our Goodstarters rose to this huge challenge, stepping up to support our families and children through an incredi...bly uncertain and challenging time. So Goodstart have officially declared this week THANK YOU week. A week in which to celebrate and recognise our 10,000+ strong team across the company who have gone above and beyond in the face of adversity! 15.01.2022 Please remember to mask up if you are coming to our Centre, no mask, no entry! The rules around masks within our Centre means that while working directly with children our Educators can leave their masks off however all families will require a mask for drop off and pick up times. We also understand that some families may encourage their little people to wear a mask. As the current recommendations do not include children for their health and safety we ask that you remove chi...ldrens masks on arrival at the Centre. There are no further changes from todays announcements but we will do our best to keep everyone updated as soon as we know anything! 15.01.2022 Two very important people in our Goodstart Lara Family are Kylie and Karen who cook our little people the most delicious (and healthy!) meals everyday. Today they created a delicious roast Christmas lunch for everyone as we came together for a special celebration for Christmas Eve. We would like to thank all of our wonderful Goodstart Lara families who have used our before and after school care program over the last 26 years. 10.01.2022 Although most relief agencies are asking for money donations at this time the Foodbank is still collecting food and supplies for bushfire emergency relief and the Lara Community Centre is available for local drop offs. If anyone cant get to the Lara Community Centre during their business hours you are welcome to leave donations in our foyer before Thursday night. We will drop them off to the Community Centre Friday morning. 03.01.2022 Last week our kinder children had a superhero day to fundraise for the Lara CFA. Over summer we had many conversations about the devastation of the fires and the little people thought about different ways they could help others. They decided we could have a superhero day to celebrate the amazing real life superheros at the Lara CFA, while also collecting donations. Everyone also created some amazing canvas art pieces for their families to buy to further add to their donation tally. We are very pleased to support the Lara CFA and recognising what wonderful little community citizens we are! We have deposited our donations to the Lara CFA fundraiser account to go towards a new Ultra-light Tanker
