We just wanted to reassure you that our centre is open and we will continue to provide an essential service to our children and families. Goodstart is well prepared and has been planning around COVID-19 since early January.... Our teams are highly trained in dealing with infectious diseases and we have Public Health approved infection control processes. We use hospital-grade cleaning products and have rigorous hygiene practices and protocols in place. It is important to remember that maintaining your childs daily routines and positive relationships can be beneficial during uncertain and stressful times such as these. Our priorities are ensuring the ongoing safety, health and wellbeing of everyone in our Goodstart family and continuing to provide the highest standard of early learning and care in our 665 centres across Australia for the families that rely on us each day.

21.01.2022 This week is Dental Health Week a national campaign that aims to educate Australians about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. We all know how i...mportant good oral hygiene is, but how easy has it been in our new COVID world to skip a trip to the dentist and grab a quick sugar boost while working from homethe kitchen is never far away! This years campaign aims to get sugar savvy. Some helpful tips include: Consume no more than 6 teaspoons of free sugar per day. Choose foods with less than 10 grams of sugar per 100 grams. My baby Alfie started this week tears, nervous rashes, sleepless nights, anxiety through the roof and that was jus...t me not being able to let go! He was absolutely fine! Like a lot of modern day fambams, my husband and I both have our own businesses and have negotiated our way through juggling being parents and working same time. So, from early on our babies both went to Goodstart Early Learning for two days a week. These activities are easy to do and a great way to support the development and understanding of dental hygiene and teeth brushing techniques. This years Dental Hygiene Week theme is all about sugar and How much sugar is hiding is your trolley? Wed like to encourage families to be mindful... of hidden sugars in food. Making healthy choices at the supermarket extends to making similar smart food and drink choices at home. Early childhood tooth decay can affect your childs health and cause pain, making it hard for your child to sleep, eat or speak. It can also affect your childs ability to concentrate and learn. Children who develop dental decay at an early age are more likely to suffer from it throughout childhood. Parents are required to provide appr...oved immunisation records upon enrolment, and at other specific ages throughout the childs attendance at: childcare centres family day care pre-schools kindergartens early learning centres Early childhood services are also required to keep a copy of all approved immunisation records for the duration a child is enrolled in their service. Retaining immunisation records onsite will enable a faster response time during a vaccine preventable disease outbreak, and help protect vulnerable children.
