24.01.2022 Each morning the children throughout the centre complete an Acknowledgment of Country. Recently the children have been learning the matching Auslan signs to support the acknowledgment. Enjoy this cute video of some nursery 2 children learning the signs with educator Michelle !

19.01.2022 Reminder to all families that SA lockdown restrictions will ease this Saturday 21 November at midnight meaning we are back to normal and open on Monday 23 November to support all our families with quality early learning and care!

17.01.2022 It has been announced today that a 6 day lockdown will take place for all of South Australia. Childcare services will remain open for essential workers ONLY and only if all the adults in your home are essential workers and required to work. Please contact the centre if you are required to work as an essential worker and we can make a plan moving forward. If you can we encourage all families to remain at home and isolate until at least Wednesday the 25th of November. We will aim to keep you informed as new information is released. Keep safe and remember to use safe hygiene practices.

16.01.2022 Its with a sad heart that we say goodbye to one our wonderful and passionate educators. Chelsea is embarking on a new adventure in Queensland and although we will miss her, we know she will be amazing at taking on this new challenge. Chelsea will be leaving at the end of the year so take some time to wish her farewell. Thank you for all your passion and dedication Chelsea we will miss you.

Donations can be made in centre or via the link below. https://loud-shirt-day-2020.raisely.com/serena-bourn EVERYONE MEET JACE Jace is a member of our Nursery 2 room. When Jace was 14 months old he became very sick with Bacterial Meningitis. Before leaving hospital one of the tests that had to be done was a hearing test, a side effect from Bacterial Meningitis is hearing loss. From this test we were told that Jace is profoundly deaf and his hearing would never come back naturally, he was booked in 2 days later for surgery to get Bilateral Cochlear Implants, so he would have the chance to hear again before his cochlear closed completely. Jace has now had his Cochlear Implants for 10 months. Jace will have his implants forever and if he is not wearing them he cannot hear at all. Jace can hear very well with his implants and is talking more and more everyday. Jace is also learning and using Auslan, to give him every opportunity to communicate.

The Kindy children discussed Anzac day on Friday and participated in many experiences to commemorate those who fought for our Country. As we take an opportunity to remember them today, they will forever live in our hearts. Due to the Anzac day public holiday, the centre will be closed tomorrow the 26th of April.

08.01.2022 As we seen Covid shut down all excursions for our centre in 2020, We decided that now with restrictions easing we would see if we could bring something to children at the centre. Staff came up with the idea to do a Thankyou to some of the front liners in our community! The children spent a few weeks making thank you cards, painting pictures and we gathered some products together to make gift baskets. The friendly team at Conroe Heights Supermarket came on board and were kin...d enough to donate some amazing products to help with our staff room snack gift baskets. After much thought went into who we would like thank we asked SAPOL and the Paramedics if they were able to come and visit the centre and both of them didn’t hesitate. The children had the opportunity to have an interactive visit with both and SO much fun was had. On behalf of the Centre we also visited Pathology SA and the Mount Gambier Hospital to pass on the staff room snack gift baskets along with the cards and paintings. We are all so thankful for these services and the amazing work they have done throughout 2020 to keep our community safe.

08.01.2022 ~ LUNCH BOX DAY ~ With school and kindy transitions right around the corner we invited the kindy children to pack a lunchbox for the day! ... The children arrived with a range of healthy morning tea and lunch options including salad wraps, chicken and salad sandwiches, rice cakes, homemade banana muffins and mixture of in-season fruit Educators were able to support the children to open their lunchboxes and unwrap their food. There was plenty of discussions around healthy and unhealthy food options.

07.01.2022 This is hard to remember when talking to our children but so important to give them time to switch tasks, for example switching between play and dinner time.
