08.01.2022 A few friendly reminders we would like to share as Victoria continues to fight the coronavirus battle. sanitize you hands on arrival. Pumps are located at the front foyer please wash any hands prior to entering the centre. please utilize our sanitizing stations throughout the centre please keep 1.5 metres away from other parents at drop offs and pick up times... please wipe down kiosks with antibacterial wipes provided and place in bin after use please keep children home if you suspect they are unwell. Children with coughs, temperatures or cold symptoms will be sent home. please be sure you are open and honest when staff ask how your child has been feeling. Staff reserve the right to deny care if they suspect a child is not 100% well. please limit drop offs and pick ups to 1 family member and keep time spent in the centre under 15minutes. our educators will continue to follow these protocol since and continue with our strict cleaning procedures to minimize risk of cross contamination. most importantly please remember our community spirit is strong and, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER and here to support you and your family. 08.01.2022 It’s with a broken heart that we announce that over the weekend we lost a beautiful person, our friend, our mentor and Centre Director Kylie Pope. Kylie passed away tragically following a car accident. Kylie has been our Centre Director for the past 18 months and has been an integral and highly valued leader to our Goodstart Mount Helen family. Kylie was an inspirationally brilliant, caring, supportive and extremely passionate woman, who we where very lucky to have. Kylie h...as established many wonderful relationships with both families and staff and will be immensely missed. Our thoughts are very much with Kylies Family. We appreciate all of your support, patience and kind words during this difficult time. RIP kylie If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to give the centre a call. Please note we have resources available at the centre about dealing with and understanding grief including information around talking to children about death and how to support grieving children.

There is a variety of books for all age ranges, available for you to borrow and take home to read and explore with your children. We will add and change books regularly so please feel free to go through them as often as you like. ... There is a sign in and out sheet on the shelf, can you please fill this out. when you return books can you please return them to the office, these will be sanitised with a antibacterial wipe before being returned to the shelf. 02.01.2022 We are excited to announce one of our newest additions to our Goodstart Mount Helen Family. Sukhmeet. Sukhmeet will be with Bianca and Emma in our Pre-Kinder Room. Dear families, My name is Sukhmeet and I am so excited to be a part of Goodstart family to work with you and your children. I hope to get to know each of you as the year goes on, but first, I would like to tell you a bit about myself. ... I have completed Bachelors in Education and post-graduation in Early Childhood Education from RMIT university. I have joined Pre-Kinder room as Early Childhood Teacher. I have variety of experience gained from my previous organization. I also got opportunity to complete my placements in 2 sessional kinder gardens where I learnt about diverse methods/ways of kinder teaching. I have one daughter and one son. I like listening to music, reading books and playing board games with my children. Prior to this, I also completed dual degree from Victoria University i.e. MBA + Masters of Accounting. Although, I worked as Assistant Accountant for 1 year, I still continued tutoring to primary and secondary students as part time hobby. Finally, I wished to pursue teaching as I am very passionate about teaching. I believe that each child brings their own unique talent, experiences and personality to our classroom. Understandable, considering we are all spending so much more time at home together at the moment. Which is probably why we’ve also sold more than 60 of our Family Behaviour Support Kits, which are full of helpful charts, tools and resources around routines, emotions and supporting children’s behaviour.
