You can further extend on this with your children by asking which animals they may have seen at a zoo? 24.01.2022 Continuing with Reconciliation Week our Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 rooms were really busy exploring the art of creating with nature and understanding the Aboriginal flag. The children took turns in exploring the art of Aboriginal painting by decorating the bark to create our Reconciliation Week sign for our window display. The Nursery babies also did some storytelling using aboriginal symbols. There is a Facebook page called "Were Going on a Bear Hunt 4179" that has locations on where someone has placed a bear in the front yard or window. Majority of these are around Wynnum and Manly. 21.01.2022 Here at Goodstart Murarrie we are teaching our children the importance of personal hygiene, in particular, handwashing. There are so many ways to encourage children to wash their hands and make it exciting. Like singing a song. We make up alot of our handwashing songs but one of the songs you could use is to the tune of "Row, row, row your boat". "Wash, wash, wash your hands, wash them everyday. In between your fingers, wash those germs away. Wash, wash, wash your hands,... wash them everyday, on the top and underneath, wash those germs away".
