10.01.2022 As key educators, we endeavour to provide opportunities for children to explore their own sense of agency through feeding and serving themselves at meal times. Here are some of our Nursery friends enjoying their chef prepared meals.

09.01.2022 Here you can see the Pre-Kindy children engaging in a group game I’m being swallowed up by a crocodile. The educators group with the children in a circle, a sheet is then stretched out in the centre by the children’s hands. The game starts at the children’s toes and works up to their heads. Cooperative games help develop problem-solving skills. Children practice working together which prepares them for cooperative learning and collaborative learning teaching strategies. Ta...ckle more complex problems than they could on their own. Delegate roles and responsibilities. Share diverse perspectives. Pool knowledge and skills. Hold one another (and be held) accountable. Receive social support and encouragement to take risks. Develop new approaches to resolving differences. Establish a shared identity with other group members. Find effective peers to emulate. Develop their own voice and perspectives in relation to peers. See more

06.01.2022 What a fantastic provocation table. This open ended counting activity encourages children to explore numeracy without being overtly guided by a teacher. The children can explore their sensory skills as they manipulate and bend the fingers on the gloves to match the numbers visually seen. This numeracy table has been recently set up in the toddler room, it has been a huge hit. They have had so much fun furthering their interest with numbers.
