24.01.2022 I just wanted to take a moment to say a final farewell to all our wonderful families, children and team members as tomorrow marks my last day as Director with Goodstart Old Reynella. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past 10 years working with the centre and with all that have been involved weather it be the amazing educators, families, children or our local community groups. I feel very blessed to have meet so many amazing people and work along side some of the best team member...s during my 25 year career in the early learning sector. I know whole heartedly that I have left the centre in the safest of hands with Amy moving into the Directors chair. I can’t wait to see all the amazing attributes and qualities that she will bring to this role with the team. Thank you everyone for all your amazing support of me during my time with the service over the years. It has made the position a truly enjoyable and unforgettable one. 18.01.2022 Australian NPC Disease Foundation is trying to raise awareness and funds for research into a treatment/cure for this rare terminal genetic disease that is called Niemann-Pick Type C Disease. The disease is mostly diagnosed during childhood and progresses to life-threatening complications early in life; patients typically display cerebellar ataxia, difficulty speaking and swallowing, with progressive dementia. 13.01.2022 And that’s a wrap on our 5 days of Christmas! Although celebrating was a little different this year 2020 has been a year of so many achievements for us at Goodstart Old Reynella. Our little people have shown the most amazing resilience in times of uncertainty and have continued to grow, play and become capable learners in a world of many new expectations and changes. ... My team have continued to always put children central to everything we do. This year like no other they have worked tirelessly to ensure that while the hurdles continued to come, the children’s world remained as consistent and unchanged as possible while in our care. Our families have been as supportive as ever always checking in and making sure that the team is and was ok. We received endless nominations for the Goodie awards and won the state title for the Above and Beyond award. We are so excited for what 2021 will bring for our Goodstart Old Reynella community.
