This year Goodstart will host our annual awards virtually to celebrate Goodstart individuals and centres for the above and beyond support they have shown children, families and their communities. One award is nominated by you - our wonderful families! This award is called the ‘Above and Beyond Award’ and an individual educator or an entire centre. We would love you to nominate us! 17.01.2022 Dear families We’re sharing this poster with every family at our centre today as part of a reminder to ourselves that while we’ve been working to keep everyone safe from COVID-19 for nearly nine months now we can’t afford to let our guard down. We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home and support us to reduce the spread of illness in our centre. 15.01.2022 Car park Safety here at Goodstart Payneham is very important. Today we introduce our Carpark safety car magnets! This encourages families and young children to be diligent in the centre carpark at drop off and pick up times! Encouraging children to place there hand on the handprint and wait for their mum or dad to make sure it is safe to move away from the car. Protecting our children is our number one priority.

12.01.2022 As a centre we strive to be united through reconciliation and equality. Today as a whole, we created a mural of handprints for our front entrance. Each child who attended the centre today, including educators and parents were encouraged to complete a hand print for our mural. Proud parents showing us there magnet and prekindy and kindy children showing us how safe they are being in our car park! Centre Director Jess has also now embedded a weekly safety talk into the curriculum where discussions are held about car ark safety and how to use the magnet! National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
