25.01.2022 My deepest apologies that we have been very quiet on our Facebook page. We have been very busy the last few months with some big changes. We have had a lot of enquires regrading the centre operating and we are still open at this stage. We will keep you all updated day by day. I just wanted to take this time to thank all of our amazing educators, families and children, who continue to support us through this time. We appreciate everything you have done for us

24.01.2022 Today the Kinder Children went for a ride on the cable tram and visited the museum where they learnt about the whales and the lighthouse with Mike along with making a boat using their art and craft skills. After they enjoyed some hot chips and milkshakes for lunch at the park. Then went to the library for a visit and borrowed some books. Along the way they came across the police helicopter where they were able to got up close to to have a look. ... Thank you Nestor and Victors dad for allowing the children to come for a photo. 23.01.2022 On Monday the Kinder children got to experience the Port of Portland on the bus tour where they learnt a lot about the logs and wood chips and how they get loaded onto the boats to get shipped to China and Japan to be made into many products. They discovered bulldozers and plenty of trucks transporting the chips and had a nice close look at the boats parked at the port.

Kate is truly passionate with teaching and implementing healthy eating habits which is reflected on the new menus she has created with all the nutritious and delicious meals. Kates little personal touches not only show her love for cooking but ensure our children enjoy their meals everyday by embracing our families input that are added to our menu.... Kate works in collaboration with our community and has sourced Local produce to support our local farmers and businesses. 23.01.2022 Petting Farm Today we had the Farm come and visit us where the children were able to meet the animals including, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs. Big thank you to Farm 2 you for coming for the visit, the children adored the animals with great care.

This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. 14.01.2022 This morning Learning Space 3 enjoyed their time in the sun exploring the water play experiencing cause and effect of the running water. They also developed their gross motor and balance skills as they rode the bikes, walked the rocks and then created sounds in the pipes making music along with exploring the colours of the pipe.

07.01.2022 BEACH KINDER: Today the children spent some time at the Narrawong beach where the children discovered some hooded plovers and done some beach combing collecting shells and seaweed to put on their sandcastles that they had made. Followed by a picnic lunch. Thank you to the parent helpers and park rangers that helped out in our exploration today.

05.01.2022 Dear Families, Please read below as there has been changes made to support your child care subsidy through this time. Changes to the Ministers Rules on the Child Care Subsidy (known as the Child Care Subsidy Amendment (Coronavirus Economic Response Package) Ministers Rules 2020) have been published. ... The key points are: - A child will be allowed an extra 20 allowable absences for 2019-20, bringing the total up to 62 days, commencing around 19 April. - Parents will not require a medical certificate to claim additional absences (on top of the 62 days), taking effect in the next few days.
