24.01.2022 Did you know our centre is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS)? What this means is we are providing the highest quality of early learning and childcare to our children and families. Want to know more? Visit www.acecqa.gov.au/national-quality-/assessments-and-ratings

24.01.2022 Muddy puddles and rain!! We just love these days, they provide us with wonderful natural sensory opportunities. We splashed in puddles, caught the rain with the kitchen utensils and played with lots of natural loose parts. It is such fun exploring the feel of squishy mud, moving water around that the rain has left behind. #natureplay #muddypuddles #rainydays #earlylearning101 #earlychildhoodeducation #bushkindy #natureprogram

24.01.2022 This week at the centre we are celebrating National Book Week. As a part of our celebrations, in the nature program we are using Possum Magic as a theme for our program. In the mud kitchen we have been making some shaving foam pavlovas. We experimented with rubbing the cream in between our fingers; plopping it into the water and watching it float; and mixing it through the water in containers. We also made coffee and soup. We enjoyed digging for insects and hunting for snai...ls in the garden beds. We also watched the big bees (bumble bees) and the little bees. We also enjoyed building with the wooden blocks and using the Australian animals to role and playing with our pretend lamington station on the stage. #earlychildhoodeducationandcare #natureplay #bookweek2020 #earlychildhoodliteracy #earlylearning #learningthroughplay #bee #possummagic

24.01.2022 We have had a great time talking about and exploring butterflies. We discussed the lifecycle and how the butterflies make their cocoon using silk from their bodies before nibbling their way out to become butterflies. We have also been on bug hunts in the forest space to see what other bugs we could find. We found slugs, slater beetles, worms, ants, Earwigs and millipedes. #natureplay #nature #butterflies #earlylearning #earlychildhoodeducation #bugs #livingscience #earlylearningcentre #inspiredbynature #sustainable

23.01.2022 There has been lots of learning in our nature program of late and our focus being on Australian Animals. The children have been involved in lots of research using books and posters and have been documenting their own learning in their floor books. Of course we have also made the most of the rainy days and the lovely mud that comes with that. There has been a real interest in digging and splashing in the mud as well as using the loose parts and experimenting with cause and effect as we try to get the muddy water the move down the pipes. #natureplay #mud #australiananimals #earlylearning #earlychildhoodeducation #outdoors #nosuchthingasbadweather #nature #floorbooks

21.01.2022 Dear Parents, We see you. We see you worrying that your child shouldnt be here while you are working from home. We see you worrying that you have just lost your job, or closed your business, and what that means for your family, your future. We see you, feeling relief as you walk in the door and see children playing normally. We see you, needing time to take care of business, to take care of yourself. We see you, keeping our team together. And we thank you. We need you. We se...e you, keeping your child at home, because you can. We see you, doing your bit to flatten the curve. Because you arent working. Because you have a support network who can do your shopping, or watch the children while you go out to the chemist, the fruit shop and the bank. Because your child has a tiny cold and you want to protect our community. We see you, staying at home, but keeping your days with us. And we thank you. We need you. We want to reassure you all, that we respect the decisions you are making. Weather it is to bring your child to us, or keep your child at home, we very much appreciate your loyalty, your kind words and your support. These times are so different. Our freedom has changed. Our lifestyles have changed. But here, we remain the same. We play. We clean. We wash our hands. Our physical attendances have dropped to about 50% each day. This allows us space to social distance. For those of you out there working on the front line, if you need an extra day to work more hours, or to do your shopping and chores, please dont hesitate to let us know. For those of you who are at home, but realise you need time to do the shopping and visit your parents please consider dropping your child with us so you can do so safely. Dont feel guilty. That is what we are here for. Stay calm, and wash your hands. Sincerely, Team Prospect Vale

07.01.2022 Bees Bees Bees Bees play an essential role as pollinators in the garden. Without bees many of our vegetables and fruit would never get to harvest stage. So yesterday the children from our Learing Space 3 room spent time in the Community Garden planting some special seedlings. These seedlings are special plants to attract the bees to make our garden healthy.
