25.01.2022 On Friday we held a beanie day at Goodstart Raceview to raise awareness and money for Motor Neurone Disease. One of our amazing families have had their lives turned upside down by Motor Neurone Disease this year. All money raised from the sale of the beanies goes directly to the Fight MND campaign. Photos are of Miss Steph and some of her adorable Senior 1 children modelling their Fight MND beanies.

24.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who supported our super awesome team members, Kelly H, Wendy, Steph and Kylie who participated in the RACQ International Womens Day Fun Run. 22.01.2022 Hi, my name is Stephanie and Im the room leader in the Senior Toddler 1 room. I love my job because even though Im not normally a very creative person, I have found that working with children inspires me to be more creative everyday. Also, feeling as though Im making a difference in childrens lives is very important to me - I hope that they remember me and how I cared for them when theyre older. Before working with children, I worked in retail. I just realised the othe...r day that I have been working as an early childhood educator for 10 years now! Something that not many people know about me is that I saved really hard when I first started working and bought my first house when I was 21 years old.

22.01.2022 Our Senior Toddler 1 children have changed their veterinary clinic into a hospital and made themselves the patients. Now they can treat their ailments and injuries while they play!

22.01.2022 In our Kindergarten room, children have been learning all about different countries and their unique cultures. Over the last few weeks, they journeyed to New Zealand and Bangladesh. This week was all about South Africa. Miss Jamie, Miss Wendy and the Kindergarten children researched South Africa and learned all they could about the Zulu and Afrikaans cultures. They made koeksisters and malva pudding. The learned how mud huts are made and then scoured the yard looking for the materials that they needed to make their own. They painted the South African flag, and then spent time designing their own Zulu inspired artworks. What a great way to support children to become globally aware! Everyone smiles in the same language. George Carlin

08.01.2022 This is one of our toddlers, Theo, doing some cooking in our mud kitchen. You might see dirty clothes and lots of mess; educators see a fun and stimulating learning experience which invites open-ended interactions, exploration, discovery and connections with nature. Did you know that exposure to friendly soil bacteria stimulates the immune system, causing the brain to release serotonin? Mud play can actually make you happy!

06.01.2022 What happens when you provide a group of Kindy children with big loose parts, water and no limit to what they can create? They build, test, experiment, and play with materials. They dig out rivers and then build bridges over them. They test the structural integrity of their creations - first with trucks and then by walking over it themselves. They engineer. Play is not a break from learning. It is endless, delightful, deep, engaging, practical learning. It’s the doorway into the child’s heart! ~ Vince Gowmon

05.01.2022 COVID-19 is different from other diseases. One thing we do know is that children who contract the disease are likely to develop mild, if any, symptoms. This is a key reason why the Chief Health Officer of Australia has said its safer to have children together than at home with adults. There is a real risk that having children at home could mean they can pass the illness on to more vulnerable people (such as the elderly or the chronically ill). As the situation around the COV...ID-19 continues to evolve we know many families are facing incredibly tough times. If your income has been reduced because you have lost your job, you are caring for a seriously ill family member or have recently lost a family member you may be eligible for Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) Temporary Financial Hardship. This subsidy is to help you and your family through times just like this, so that you have one less thing to worry about and your childs early learning can continue. We know that young children benefit from their usual routines at times of uncertainty and stress. If you have any questions give us a call on 0732886333.

03.01.2022 Young children are particularly at risk in driveways and yards. Toddlers and preschoolers dont yet realise that cars are dangerous. They can also move quickly and quietly! Here are some driveway safety guidelines: * Before moving a vehicle in a driveway, check that no child is behind or in front of the vehicle. Dont rely only on car cameras and sensors. Always do a visual check around the vehicle.... * Never leave young children alone to play near parked or moving vehicles in driveways. * Encourage children to wave goodbye from inside your home. #besafetyalertandendthehurt
