18.01.2022 "We are the Elders of tomorrow, hear our voice" Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's day, where we continue celebrate our First Nations children and recognise that they are the Elders of tomorrow. We acknowledge their connection to the land, the waterways, plants, animals and community. Today and everyday we weave Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our curriculum, and strive for reconciliation and a deeper understanding of the culture and histories of the our First Nations people.

At 11am children all over Australia will engage in this years story Whitney and Britney CHICKEN DIVAS, written and illustrated by Australian author Lucinda Gifford NSS is in its 20th year and aims to promote a love of reading and literacy. Sharing books with your children opens up a world of possibilities for them imagination, understanding and exploration. #lucindagifford #NSS

15.01.2022 Hello families Some good news for families who will again be affected by the reintroduction of stage 3 restrictions in our Mornington Penisula Shire community. If families have been affected and choosing to keep their children home the gap fee will be waived. Further information to come.

14.01.2022 Dear families, As you know the Victoria Government announced today that they are re-instating restrictions in some areas across Victoria in light of the evolving COVID-19 situation. There are no new restrictions on early learning and care and we remain open and here to support you as we navigate through the next few weeks together.... Throughout COVID we have had the strictest health and hygiene measures in place and this will continue. Our national health and safety team have been closely monitoring the situation in Victoria and in response to the changing health risks, implemented further health, safety and hygiene restrictions across all our Victorian centres last week. The ongoing health, safety and wellbeing of everyone in our centre remains our first priority and we are committed to providing the best possible learning experiences in the safest possible environment for all children in our care. Children thrive when they have a regular routine especially at times of uncertainty and stress and we are working hard to keep all our children and our team members safe in inspiring and enriching learning environments We understand families may be concerned, however remember that we have weathered the storm together already over the past few months and this is no different. We have and will continue to be ready to support and respond if or when the situation evolves or changes. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the centre, 5986 7488.

02.01.2022 Hi Goodstart families! As you know the Government announced today that the 'free childcare' package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We will provide an update to our centres and our families later today and over the coming days as we learn more. #5weekstogo! See more
