18.01.2022 Excursion day! Today the pre/kinders went to "Roxburgh Park Primary School" to have an early experience on how it will be when they go to big school. The children got to walk to the school which they were very excited about! They were lucky enough to visit the library and prep classrooms. Well done, prekinders for having a successful day.

17.01.2022 Todays STEM experiment to extend on the childrens interest based on rainbows. The children engaged in discussion of predicting what will happen when mixing the sugared water on top of one another. The children also engaged in mathematical discussions learning the measurements which supported the children to count by twos. The children were curious participants and enjoyed taking turns in this experiment. We managed to create one layer of the rainbow but the next colour mixed all together. This was an opportunity for educators to teach the children about trial and error. They are excited to create it again with new strategies put in place for a full rainbow effect

17.01.2022 Don’t forget tonight everyone

13.01.2022 Hi Goodstart families! As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We will provide an update to our centres and our families later today and over the coming days as we learn more. #5weekstogo! See more

13.01.2022 Did you know there is more Goodstart in Australia than you think? Each day across 665 centres we read stories across Australia to 75,600 little geniuses. As a parent, you know your child is a genius because you see it every day. They never cease to amaze, surprise and wonder you as they grow and develop. We see this genius too which is why we model our curriculum around identifying what makes your child special and providing the right environment and opportunities to see them thrive. https://www.goodstart.org.au//why-reading-in-early-years-c

03.01.2022 Dear families, On Wednesday 2 September its Early Childhood Educators Day! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the amazing team we have here at Goodstart Roxburgh Park Sommeville Drive.... This has been a big year for everyone at our centre and we were hoping you would join us in celebrating this in a special way this year. Early Childhood Educators Day happens to coincide with the start of spring and what better way to show our appreciation than saying it with FLOWERS! Wed love to fill the centre with some springtime joy and ask if you could possibly bring some greenery or flowers in on the day, for our centre or for the educators in your childs room. It doesnt matter whether they are from a shop, from your garden or from the side of the road they will surely put a smile on the faces of our educators! Maybe your little one would even like to create a card and draw flowers or a portrait of your favourite educator? Let your creativity run wild! Thank you so much for your support, we are looking forward to brightening up the day together with you!
