21.01.2022 Wednesday 2 September is Early Childhood Educators' Day! This year it coincides with the start of spring and we thought what better way to celebrate than to say it with flowers! We are calling on our families to help fill our centres with greenery on this important day! It doesn’t matter whether you bring a plant from a shop, something from your garden or even a sneaky snip from the side of the road it will surely put a smile on the faces of our well-deserving teams!

20.01.2022 Good morning family For family’s that have been affected by the storm on Saturday we are here to support you . Will be keeping our doors open tonight from 6pm for any family’s that’s need to have a hot shower and grab a hot meal . Will be cooking up some Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread . 18.01.2022 Toddlers exploring , We all had turns in The construction area Building towers with the coloured window blocks and then looking through them Seeing the room around ups and our friends in a different colour. We also used our language to say the colours names chatting to each other about the blocks.

This year Goodstart will host our annual awards virtually to celebrate Goodstart individuals and centres for the above and beyond support they have shown children, families and their communities. One award is nominated by you - our wonderful families! This award is called the ‘Above and Beyond Award’ and an individual educator or an entire centre. We would love you to nominate us! 08.01.2022 Dear Families, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Carissa and I will be joining the Goodstart Springfield Lakes team on Monday the 3rd of August in the role of Kindergarten Teacher. I have 9 years of experience in the early childhood sector, 8 of those being with Goodstart and have worked in a number of roles including Educational Leader, Assistant Director, Kindergarten Teacher and Centre Director. I hold my Bachelor of Education, majoring in spec...ial education and my Diploma of Early Childhood Education. My passion for early childhood education is endless and I love being a part of each child's own journey to becoming an engaged and happy learner. I have a strong focus on social emotional wellbeing in my classrooms as there is so much evidence to support that healthy minds and strong social-emotional skills help children to blossom in every other aspect of their learning.
