20.01.2022 On Tuesday 4 August at 7:30pm (Brisbane, Australia time), Ill be going Facebook live to talk about common challenges in early childhood. Early childhood is a ...time of immense development. Most of the time this will be a source of pure, full-bodied joy. But as magical as it can be, it can also be tough at times, when feelings and behaviour swell big enough to own a room. Thankfully, huge advances in neuroscience have shone a bright light on why children do what they do, and what their growing brains need to thrive. Its helped us make sense of behaviour that often makes no sense at all, and given us glowing signposts for how to respond to big behaviour and big feelings in ways that strengthen the foundations for healthy development. So lets talk about the common challenges that come with early childhood. This will be ideal for anyone who lives or works with young children - parents, carers, educators. The topics Ill be covering include how to deal with big feelings, aggression, separation anxiety, and peer clashes. If you live or work with young children, this ones for you. 13.01.2022 NAIDOC Week Our senior toddler 1 children have been creating their own interpretation of some Aboriginal art, creating their own masterpiece using the traditional technique of dot painting.

12.01.2022 Our Nursery 2 children have been exploring NAIDOC week through the dreamtime story of Tiddalik the frog using their own props!

They are our newest friends in pre kindy, each week the children are able to take a bear home and then bring it back with some photos and fun stories about their time together, take home bears allow the children to gain a stronger sense of confidence within their social environment, it also helps build up their communication skills as they speak before their class.

Today they had ingredients to create their cakes and follow the recipe. One of our senior toddler children even asked for "soy milk" so it was safe for her brother who has allergies!
