18.01.2022 Father’s Day is on Sunday 6 September and Goodstart@Home has some great ideas for families who are looking for a gift that’s from the heart. One of the Father’s Day activities for 3-5 year olds is Building a Memory Jar. We would love to see some photos or videos of memory jars being created for the special Dads (and other males!) of the children at our centre. Other lovely activity ideas are a ‘Do you know how much I love you?’ photo book for babies, or for toddlers; creat...ing a ‘Helping hand’ book of coupons for help getting things done around the house or garden. We hope all the Dads have a wonderful Father’s Day!

03.01.2022 Every year our national awards program ‘The Goodies’ identifies the outstanding work of our educators, teachers, centre directors and support teams. This year, The Goodies includes a special category which is ‘family nominated’. As the Goodstart Awards will be virtual this year, we’re asking for nominations to let the judges know why you support a centre-based team or individual to win this award (addressing the below criteria). Entry is via a written submission OR a short 1...2 minute video. Selected submissions may be shown at the awards ceremonies, added to Goodstart’s website, internal social media platform Yammer and our public Facebook page. We would love you to nominate us! 01.01.2022 Today we celebrated Holi, an ancient Hindu festival signifying the victory of good over evil. Also known as the ‘Festival of Colours’, children and educators enjoyed a day of playing with colour, water and celebrating happiness. Nobody was off limits from the colour and the fun! Children learnt how to dance, enjoyed traditional music, and discovered the importance of the festival. Wishing you Happy Holi From Goodstart Tiwi Team
