25.01.2022 Following the children’s interest in frogs today, thanks to Miss Bec for bringing in her pet frog Youdini the kindy kids sat for sometime discussing frogs as a group, and telling story’s of all their frog encounters we even sung songs to Youdini, I think he really enjoyed our singing

25.01.2022 "To understand is to invent" Jean Piaget. With the assistance of our Qualified "Cheffa Kylie" our kindergarten Teachers were able to bring one of our friends ideas to life. From a letter of request, to her very own cake making and decorating, project. Little Miss H, requested that our chef decorate a cake like the picture she drew. Through collaboration with Chef Kylie and Miss Bec, Miss H decided she wanted to make a patterned cake (patterns, is one of Kindy's current int...erest), she then drew another plan for the cake. Miss Cheffa Kylie and Miss H, have worked hard on this individual project. Miss H, designed,mixed, baked and decorared her very own cake to take home. Amazing!! Miss Danielle and Miss Anni spoke with our friends about the importance of eating all the colours of a rainbow. We also were privelledged to have Miss Danielle, sing and play the guitar, to a wonderful version of " I can eat a rainbow". We followed up with storytime, and ate a delicious colorful morning tea, served by Miss Danielle and Miss Anni. Afterwards our ...kindy friends danced sung and signed Auslan (with our very own Miss Chloe's assistance) with our wonderful community partners, to our new favourite song. 17.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 Our Toddlers have enjoyed the start of NAIDOC week! They enjoyed participating in our center acknowledgement of county, reading a dreamtime story, using our diversity faces to sing songs and this afternoon we enjoyed the shade of a tree to paint some seeds. The children also noticed the seeds had something inside them that when they were shaken they made a noise. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe

16.01.2022 The best thing about our kindergarten, is our discussions and on-going learning interests. We love extending on our children’s learning and teaching them new things. Today we explored a yabby, this was a wonderful interaction which we enjoyed doing very much! 06.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK 2020 What a big week of learning we have had in the toddler room! The children have enjoyed listening to Dreamtime stories, following on with an activity linked to the story, Like our clay echidnas from the story The echidna and the shade tree. We enjoyed painting our hands, manipulating our aboriginal coloured playdough, learning the aboriginal symbols and collecting resources outside for our aboriginal craft activities. The children are improving each day with our acknowledgment of country, they are starting to say the words as well as doing the actions!
