25.01.2022 This morning our Kinder children were learning the importance of caring for others. They assisted Catherine to clean out the guinea pigs cage, discussing why everything should have clean spaces to live. Afterwards they rushed out to the garden to get them some fresh parsley to eat and also gave them some fresh water to drink.

This fundraiser is helping to raise much needed funds for cancer research. On Tuesday 23rd March, we are asking all children and educators to come dressed in yellow.... Can we please ask for a gold coin donation to show our support in this challenge. We will also have a ‘guess the lollies in the jar’. This can be found in the front foyer.

11.01.2022 Our Kinder Educators created a sensory room last week to help recognise Are U O K? Day. Sensory exploration is incredible for childrens emotional wellbeing and we intend to use this space to help children develop their self-regulation skills.

08.01.2022 On Wednesday 2nd September its Early Childhood Educators Day! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the amazing team we have here at Goodstart Torquay. This has been a big year for everyone at our centre and we were hoping you would join us in celebrating this in a special way this year.... Early Childhood Educators Day happens to coincide with the start of spring and what better way to show our appreciation than saying it with FLOWERS! Wed love to fill the centre with some springtime joy and ask if you could possibly bring some greenery or flowers in on the day, for our centre or for the educators in your childs room. It doesnt matter whether they are from a shop, from your garden or from the side of the road they will surely put a smile on the faces of our educators! Maybe your little one would even like to create a card and draw flowers or a portrait of your favourite educator? Let your creativity run wild! Thank you so much for your support, we are looking forward to brightening up the day together with you!

As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. 04.01.2022 Did you see our display in our foyer? This week our children and educators commemorated Reconciliation Week with a variety of activities and experiences, as well as paying our respects in our acknowledgement of country each morning. Our Nursery used their hand prints to create an Aboriginal flag, while the Toddlers collaged an Aboriginal flag on National Sorry Day. Our Kinder children have been very busy exploring the Aboriginal culture this week through songs and stories.

03.01.2022 Did you know our Nursery has a maximum of just 8 children a day? Being such a small group our Educators have the time to play and connect with each child, building close bonds and relationships with all the children in their care. A game of peek a boo with Jaimi this morning brought lots of smiles and giggles from our beautiful bubs!

03.01.2022 Coming into the colder weather we would like to remind parents to please pack a winter jacket and if possible a beanie so we are still able to explore outside. We encourage packing gum boots in their bags as well so that their shoes dont get wet and ruined!
