14.01.2022 This morning the Senior Toddlers braved the weather and ran outside for some fun in the rain. They investigated and explored a slippery world with its challenges. They demonstrated great agility, concentration, balance, strength, confidence and safe risk taking skills as they moved about on wet surfaces. They chased each other, jumped and rolled in the puddles, splashed and caught raindrops. They loved the sensory aspect of the experience, discovering new sights, sounds and smells. They enjoyed the connection with the world around us and the nature.

08.01.2022 Senior Toddler’s exploring science Today we worked with trial and error as we used detergent and water to make bubble mix. Once we felt the formula was right Miss Beth used the hoop to make big bubbles. At first Miss Beth went slowly but the bubble never formed and popped about 5 cm out of the mixture. She decided do some variations, first she added speed. The faster she went the higher she could raise the hoop before the bubble popped. Another variable was the angle she ch...anged the angle as she lifted the hoop and found the bubble would hold longer. The biggest variable was little hands that couldn’t resist popping the bubble as it formed. Soon all the children had a try at making their own bubbles discovering and using their own variables as they went.
