21.01.2022 BISCUITS FOR THE BUSH! As you are aware our nation is in drought, we have found an event which we would like to help support which is the Walkaway CWA. This group have put together a campaign which is inviting everyone to donate biscuits to be included in the WA Hay Run, in January 2020 to the drought stricken area's for the Murchison, Gascoyne and Pilbara region communities to enjoy. Biscuits are to be donated to us at Goodstart Early Learning no later than 9:30am Wednesday ...8th January 2020, where the children will then walk the biscuits down to Wonthella - IGA who is a registered drop off point for this event. You can bake biscuits and put into a sealed container ie, ice cream container, old tin, jar, zip lock bag, OR you could buy biscuits (already packaged) to donate to this worthy cause. With this we must remember that these families also have four legged friends such as dogs and cats. These guys deserve a treat too. So you are also able to donate dog biscuits and cat biscuits too. I will set an area up in the foyer and if you are able to donate anything to these struggling communities we would be greatly appreciative of this. That won't deter us as we get cooking our sausages and onion at our Bunning's fundraiser tomorrow from 8.30am until 2.30pm. We will have available: ... Sausages in bread (onion as a side if you chose) Condiments Water Soft drinks. This year marks Telethon's 10th year anniversary, in celebration of this massive milestone, WA Goodstart Centers are committed to helping Telethon raise money to help make significant advances in treating some of the life threatening diseases that face our children today. And to help assist Telethon to provide equipment, resources and critical services for children across Western Australia. T...hroughout this year Goodstart Wonthella will be doing several fundraising events to contribute to raising funds for Telethon, which we cannot wait to share with you all. There are various ways YOU can contribute to raising these much needed funds throughout the year.
