24.01.2022 Dear families We’re sharing this poster with every family at our centre today as part of a reminder to ourselves that while we’ve been working to keep everyone safe from COVID-19 for nearly nine months now we can’t afford to let our guard down. We’re using this poster to take a moment each day to check we’re still doing all the simple things we need to do as part of the local community to keep ourselves and our friends and family safe and well. 08.01.2022 Book week This week is book week, and we are encouraging children to bring in a book from home that they can share and read with their friends. Our foyer now has a special area where we will be putting pictures of the children reading some books, if you find your child reading a book at home please take a photo and email it through to the centre or post it on storypark and we will add it to our reading hall of fame.... Please ensure your books from home are labelled with the childs name when brought into the centre. Many thanks, The Woolner Team

06.01.2022 Just a reminder that this upcoming Friday (11th of September) we ask the children to join Educators and wear White to Support ‘White Balloon Day’. Bravehearts’ White Balloon Day is Australia’s largest campaign dedicated to preventing child sexual assault and exploitation. Each year White Balloon Day unites communities to break the silence on child sexual assault and exploitation and makes a commitment to protecting Aussie kids.

03.01.2022 Every year our national awards program ‘The Goodies’ identifies the outstanding work of our educators, teachers, centre directors and support teams. This year, The Goodies includes a special category which is ‘family nominated’. As the Goodstart Awards will be virtual this year, we’re asking for nominations to let the judges know why you support a centre-based team or individual to win this award (addressing the below criteria). Entry is via a written submission OR a short 1...2 minute video. Selected submissions may be shown at the awards ceremonies, added to Goodstart’s website, internal social media platform Yammer and our public Facebook page. As you know the Government announced today that the 'free childcare' package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart.
