A child’s language skills continue to grow throughout their lives; however, the e...arly years are very important. So how do you know if your child’s speech and language skills are on track? It is important to remember that children develop individually but there is a general pattern to language development. Between the ages of 1 and 5 years, children should be reaching certain milestones with their communicative skills. 18.01.2022 Anzac Day craft Using natural resources found from a variety of different trees along the weir, the children worked with their educators to create posies to be attached to a hula hoop, to create a wreath. A felt poppy was then attached to the wreath.

17.01.2022 Today the Prime Minister announced a new way of working for the early childhood sector from this Sunday April 5. From Monday all children will be able to attend early learning and care at their current centre for free. This absolutely includes all Goodstart centres. If your child is enrolled in one of our centres and you are still working, studying or searching for work you will be able to send your child for free from Monday.... This is welcome news, especially as the Prime Minister also made it clear that vulnerable children would be a priority alongside the children from families of essential workers (everyone currently required to work). We don’t have a lot of detail to share with you yet, but we will as soon as we are able. Stay safe and we'll update you soon.

09.01.2022 Tomorrow (2nd September) is Early Childhood Educators' Day! This year it coincides with the start of spring and we thought what better way to celebrate than to say it with flowers! We are calling on our families to help fill our centre with greenery on this important day! It doesn’t matter whether you bring a plant from a shop, something from your garden or even a sneaky snip from the side of the road it will surely put a smile on the faces of our well-deserving team!

06.01.2022 Today we had a visit from NSW Police. Inspector Jacob Reeves and his fellow officers Nicola Shoard and Carrie Swanson came to the centre to meet us. The officers talked to the children about their uniforms and it’s different components and encouraged the children to feel familiar and safe around police officers. The children really enjoyed their visit and asked the officers to come back and visit again soon
