21.01.2022 Talk about bad timing! Try following up a launch for a new band line up right before the hit of a world wide pandemic/recession! As you're probably aware, musicians have been hit hard during these strange times but here at Goodstock we've made the most of a bad situation. Using our beloved (or passionately hated, depending on when and where you're using it ) Australian NBN network, we've managed to put together an isolation, slash social distancing video. ... Just working some of the final touches. Stay tuned later in the week for the video! Till then, have a good week!
17.01.2022 Goodstock brand new lineup! Wow! It's true what they say. The music scene is an ever evolving machine. Combine a bunch of location changes, member visa issues, mix in some creative ventures and a pinch of variable life circumstances and voilà! The institution of Goodstock has its latest evolution. Watch this space for upcoming gigs in Melbourne and surrounds!
11.01.2022 Photoshoots... Can be the bane of our existence or a bunch of happy snaps. In our case, perhaps a little from both columns. It always amazes me how band shots turn out. Without your instrument, lights and a stage, it's a tussle between slight awkwardness and a sales pitch. Initially everyone tries to make some cool pose and it just looks too serious. As you crack jokes and make some fun out of it the ideas flow and the personalities come out. I myself hate the standard smil...ey shot. I always yearn for a point of difference or some sort of action to capture something interesting in time. It's actually quite hard to not take yourself too seriously yet not make out as if you're a bunch of clowns. This time around I think we successfully squeezed out a narrative between 'professional musicians' and 'fun loving approachable'.
