17.01.2022 This video sums up my analysis of tuna on the sunny coast perfectly - just behind the breakers. Yaroomba beach is just before coolum about a 20 min boat trip from mooloolah river. A 4.2m tinny would be able to access these fish. Me and a mate caught 8 fish all around 10kg yesterday on stickbaits and poppers. 11.01.2022 Stickbait rigging This is the way I rig stickbaits for tuna and mackeral. I upgrade the front and rear splits to decoy 40lb and run a single BKK 3/0 single on the rear. This setup works extremely well for any pelagic species. The reason for one hook only is to minimise fish damage and also two of these singles affects the lure action too much due to the extra weight. If you wanted to run another hook I would recommend a decoy treble in size 4 or similar to keep the weight down. As for using lighter guage single hooks (mustad etc) I have personally seen these bend out on 30lb gear

I source these vibes from a high quality manufacturer that does actual product testing and development on lures, including CAD design, pressure testing and tank tuning. These vibes can be worked hard for an aggressive vibe or slowly for more of a shimy or alternatively a slow troll. They will not spiral on the drop and swim perfectly out of the box. 05.01.2022 Hey lads if you're after an easy way to tie the FG knot, this is the easiest method I have found. Just make sure you pull the knot tight before trimming tag ends. The braid will turn semi translucent as it bites into the leader
