23.01.2022 So often in our practice we get caught up in our old habits, sucked back into old ways of thinking, doing and being and berating ourselves for it. Focusing on what youre working towards, on how far youve come - thats how we really start to make those changes really start to shift. keep your focus on the growth of you want to keep growing.

21.01.2022 A mini deep dive into the benefits of twists! In part 1 we're talking ease and freedom!

21.01.2022 Coming home with my certificate as a yoga teacher did not make me a teacher. It took hours of further reading, practice, on yoga, even more behind a desk learning about business and I'm not ashamed nor do I feel like any less of a good yoga teacher or student when I say my own yoga practise definitely suffered. I'm human! These things happen It took losing it to remind me how much I need it in my day and week and life. Now that I've committed to a daily practice again I ...really can say my yoga gives me more time than it takes. It gives me more time in that I'm so much more present, aware and productive with the time I do have - even after just 30 minutes in the morning. See more

19.01.2022 This quote became our theme for last weeks class, where we moved with a particular awareness of gentleness and kindness for oneself and finished - with a guided meditation to bring us into our bodies, our homes If philosophy isn't your thing, fret not! We still get work hard - we just do it in a way that leaves you feeling full and content instead of fatigued and still trifling with negative self talk. For class tomorrow make sure you RSVP so I can get you some more de...tails about props you might like to use tomorrow! 18.01.2022 http:/// revolved triangle 1. Turn your right foot to face square to the front, left foot towards the left hand corner of the mat (about 45 degrees.) 2. keeping the hips square, inhale to reach the crown of head high, hinge from the hips to fold. ... 3. exhale, take both hands to the earth (or blocks) 4. on your next inhale, keep the left hand beside the right foot and take the right arm up, stacking right shoulder over left This pose is a tricky one! it involves a lot of balance, mobility in the spine and can be a bit of workout for your core. I highly recommend using blocks to begin with and working from there - remember theres no cheating in yoga!

07.01.2022 Some days, it's all we can do to keep our head above water. One of the most valuable things I've learnt through my yoga and meditation is making the choice to swim is the first step.
