06.01.2022 STATEMENT BY THE GOODWILL OP SHOP IN RESPONSE TO RECENT COMMENTS - 15TH March 2017 The Goodwill Op Shop is a privately-owned business that donates ALL PROFITS after shop expenses are deducted to various childrens charities. The Goodwill Op Shop has so far, donated more than $230,000 to Australian Registered Charities, who have an emphasis on helping disadvantaged Australian children.... Those who work at the shop (including the lady with the hat) do not own any part of the business. All Goodwill Op Shop workers are either paid staff or volunteers, who work hard to make money for the Charities we support. At times, customers want to buy goods that have recently been donated and not been priced yet. If customers insist on buying unpriced goods they are generally priced on the spot and the customer can proceed and purchase the item if they want. It is our preference that unpriced goods are not sold until ticketed and considering some recent remarks we may look at making this mandatory. We would like to thank our many customers and donors who shop and donate their unwanted goods that allows us to continue supporting Charities that help disadvantaged children. More information on the Goodwill Op Shops can be obtained from our web site at; www.goodwill.com.au

01.01.2022 Our Charities The Goodwill Op Shops are proud to support Australian Charities who have an emphasis on supporting underprivileged and gravely sick Australian Children Goodwill Op Shops are proud supporters of Royal Far West and the Starlight Childrens Foundation.... Starlights Value Our Mission To brighten the lives of all seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families throughout Australia Our Reality Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia, for thousands of these children and their families this admission will lead to a diagnosis that will change their lives for ever. Starlight aim to be there to help increase the well-being, resilience and happiness of these children. Looking after a child with a chronic or life threatening illness requires a comprehensive total approach to care, a healing environment that includes entertainment, diversion, fun, laughter and joy. Starlight is a key partner in providing these aspects of care. Professor Les White Executive Director Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick http://www.starlightmission.org.au/ Royal Far West Royal Far West is a non-government organisation that has been providing health services to children living in rural and remote New South Wales for over 85 years. Our vision is healthy country children. To achieve this, we work in partnership with families and their local health and education providers to complement existing services within the community. Every year, thousands of country children who have non-acute developmental, behavioural, learning, emotional and mental health disorders, and limited access to local services, benefit from our integrated clinical and educational model of care. We believe kids are our future. Every one of them deserves access to specialist healthcare regardless of where they live.
